If Election Day felt like the end, this week feels like an endless April Fool’s Day. To all the people who were saying after Donald Trump’s victory, “Maybe he’s not that bad,” I say to you. matt gatesTrump’s Elected Attorney General of the United States.

Mr. Gaetz is one of three of Mr. Trump’s ludicrous Cabinet picks, including the horribly inexperienced Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, and Pete Hegseth, a mischievous former U.S. congressman turned Democrat-turned-Republican. It was a decoration after consecutive pitches. Tulsi Gabbard As Director of National Intelligence. Gabbard has no intelligence experience. there is nothing. Nada. She is constantly appearing on Fox News.
Similarly, Hegseth came from Fox News, where he was an unsavory anchor who filled the conservative atmosphere with homophobic, racist, and misogynistic rants. He has never run a small or medium-sized organization. The Pentagon employs 2.8 million people, about 2.7999 trillion more than Hegseth previously oversaw. In the pantheon of legendary secretaries of defense such as Leon Panetta, James Mattis, Robert Gates and Dick Cheney, the vile, talkative and maligned Hegseth enters the pantheon.
And Gates, the only thing he was charged with was His Case for the Most Hated Man in parliament.
Can someone please end the nightmare of cabinet announcements by shouting “April Fools!”? And end all these idiot recommendations? There were suspicions that President Trump had lost his mind during the campaign, and that was confirmed this week. Trump turned banana.
Either that or Trump is playing a cruel and disgusting joke on the American people and the international community, but it’s not a joke. Trump is the person that careless and ill-informed voters voted for President of the United States. And now, even before his inauguration on January 20, 2025 (Revelation II), Mr. Trump is showing how evil, irresponsible, dishonest, mediocre, and stupid he is.
In times like this, please think like this. John F. Kennedy When he was elected president in 1960, he promised to bring together the “best and brightest” to lead his administration. Kennedy was determined to move America forward. I didn’t retreat, I didn’t lie down, I moved forward.
Gabbard and Hegseth are not America’s “greatest people.” They are Trump’s capricious and bewildered figures whose incompetence and backwards views will set America back decades.
Kennedy focused on excellence not only in government but also in business, academia, and the military, seeking people with great intellect, skill, and experience. His vision was to create a team that could address pressing issues like the Cold War, civil rights, and space exploration with fresh, bold ideas. The same situation we face today.
His focus on talent and innovation reflected Kennedy’s idealism and his belief that America could be a force for good in the world. Hegseth, Gabbard, and most obviously Gaetz are far from being forces of good.
One of the most prominent people Kennedy brought into his administration was Robert McNamara, who served as Secretary of Defense. McNamara had a distinguished career as president of Ford Motor Company and was known for his analytical approach and strong organizational skills.
Another outstanding figure was Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., who became a close ally of Kennedy and contributed deep insight into historical and political issues. Next, former Harvard College of Arts and Sciences dean McGeorge Bundy became national security adviser, adding intellectual rigor to Kennedy’s foreign policy team.

President Kennedy was under fire for choosing his brother Robert F. Kennedy as attorney general. At the time, this decision was controversial to say the least. RFK was only 35 years old at the time, but had previously worked at the Justice Department and spent eight years as a consultant on Senate committees, most notably as chief counsel on the Senate Racketeering Committee that uncovered corruption by Teamsters president Jimmy Hoffa. Ta.
Together, these individuals exemplified John F. Kennedy’s commitment to excellence and innovation, and their expertise played a central role in shaping the administration’s ambitious domestic and international policies. . But their successes and struggles also illustrated the complexities of governance during a tumultuous time, in the face of the Cuban Missile Crisis and the escalating conflict in Vietnam.
I bring up these crises because they were faced with very serious problems that tested the intelligence, skill, and determination of the “best of the best.” Now imagine who the “debauched and bewildered” would react to something like the Cuban Missile Crisis. God, please help us. Seriously.
The world faces huge problems every day. It’s a constant tinderbox, and that tinderbox doesn’t contain all the waiting surprises that can add fuel to the fire. War in the Middle East, Ukraine, Iran, and the looming nuclear threat from North Korea. China is constantly trying to destroy American industry and technology. Russian aggression and Vladimir Putin’s thirst for power. The future of the NATO alliance. these are ours know About.
What awaits us tomorrow, in December, or even on January 20, 2025, when a real apocalypse is very likely to occur? We are all shocked and disappointed by Mr. Trump’s nominations to key leaders in our nation’s legal, intelligence, and defense departments. What do our allies think? Will they trust America as an intelligence agency again? And what is it that keeps us all up at night? What will the enemy make of our “debauched and bewildered” so-called leadership?
When you put a third-string defenseman in the league’s best offense, disaster is imminent. Our enemies are much more attentive than we are. America’s election of a lousy, half-hearted maladroit is an early Christmas present for our enemies. If you’re stupid enough to think Trump represents a “strong America,” you’re probably stupid enough to think our place in the world is secure with him, Hegseth, Gabbard, and Gates at the helm.
This is no joke.
There’s one thing that can stop this trio. That’s 53 Republicans in the U.S. Senate. Will they recognize the danger that Trump’s nomination poses to U.S. security? Or will they side with America’s dark demagogue, a dictator who is leading America to ruin?
