Hold on to your glasses, sis. I’m going to read it! With the release of the latest products, moreover, TCF Book Clubcouldn’t help but shine a spotlight on what’s been going on with plus-size fiction books lately. These are some notable books that you should definitely check out as you stroll through the literary market.
If you don’t knowwe recently talked about plus-size authors, plus-size characters, and (unapologetically…and Of course) Make sure you hang on to every word of these fascinating plots. In a world where a lack of inclusivity and stereotypical tropes stagnate storylines (whether on the silver screen or in the page), it’s important to bring larger-than-life protagonists to the fore in fictional spaces.
We can be famous lawyers, walking around the halls of the courthouse in red-bottomed pumps, trying to win (yet another) case with conviction. We can be the gorgeous girl who hated the boy she never imagined as her high school sweetheart…let alone her handsome husband later in life. Does anyone else feel like a romance novel? Or you can be a shy baker by day, but a villainous superheroine who rides her broom across the west side of the Witch’s Forest.
It will be led by me, one of the contributors. Together with Ashley Teara (aka Ashley Blackwell) and our amazing SHE-O, Marie Denney, TCF Book Club aims to spotlight characters who look like us…their bodies are defined by breaking down the walls of strength and beauty that have long served as social standards to divide us.
The truth is…chubby representation is important in all genres. And chapter by chapter, our up-and-coming community strives to carve out a safe space for fellow tentative believers to share the thick lead of love and the mighty pen behind it.
