Reality mother-daughter duo Teresa and Gia Guidice tell talk show host Sherri Shepherd about what really happened while appearing on Special Forces: World’s Hardest Test and why Gia wanted to save her nose at all costs after her mom left the show.
Sherry: This show is…not a joke. What made you want to quit?
Teresa: I thought if I saw my daughter getting hit, I would jump in. And I could never watch my daughter get hit…
Sherry: I love that you say you couldn’t even watch your daughter get beaten, but Gia, what was going through your mind? When I look at you, you look as if you were going through it and then you knew your mother left you. What went through your mind?
Teresa: I didn’t want her to see me fighting either. I wasn’t interested in that.
Gia: Yeah, that’s what’s going through my head. It’s like my mother just left and I’m sobbing and they’re leaving: 18, you have to go to battle and I’m not ready. I needed water, but it was really hard. I don’t think I was there mentally…but Christy [Pearce Rampone]she had a hard time… I was so upset.
Sherry: …were you really afraid that you were going to get hurt?
Gia: Yeah…I’m getting a nose job! So I said this to Christy…we all said, “Because it’s me, my mom, Bree.” [Brianna ‘Chickenfry’ LaPaglia] ..We’ve all had nose jobs. …Be respectful and don’t punch us in the nose. Suddenly, Christy punched me in the nose. I was like a girl…I was mad. I think I said, “Oh.”
Teresa: Did she punch you in the nose?
Gia: Yeah, but she didn’t mean it that way.
Sherry: Well, if you were there you would have seen it, Teresa.
