Simu Liu has defended actor Hudson Williams, warning of “bad actors” and online hate campaigns after an old photo of Williams with a swastika on his forehead resurfaced online. Post a thread.

Image believed to show Williams as a teenagerhas been making the rounds on social media in recent days. Liu wrote that the backlash reminded her of her own experience of being targeted online after becoming famous.

“So when I first started the uproar, I have a very specific trauma that people on the internet fabricated things about me and twisted them into a massive hate campaign,” Liu wrote. “Every time there was a moment where people of color were particularly visible, I started to recognize a pattern. It happened like clockwork, and I see it happening now. The internet is crazy. There are bad guys everywhere. If you’re out here, be careful. Be smart.”

This background claim is believed to come from people close to him. it has been reported A source close to Williams said Williams had “no idea” that a hate mark had been painted on her when the photo was taken.
