Venus entered a sign of debilitating in Virgo on October 9th and will remain there until November 2nd. The word “defeating” may sound ominous, but remember that it simply means you have to work three times harder to get results from that planet. It’s like going to the corrective class to learn more deeper lessons Venus wants to teach us about his ability to love, relationships and joy.
Why Venus is struggling in Virgo?
For affection to flow, Venus screams in Pisces, as it is pure emotion and not hampered by critical thinking. In Virgo, Venus’ natural loving nature gets lost in analysis and being too loud. The critical and discerning energy of Virgo, expelled by mercury, takes Venus from its essence to experience joy, joy and the beauty of life.
Think about it: Virgo wants perfection, analysis, and service. Venus wants joy, enjoyment and a sensual fulfillment. When Venus moves through Virgo, we may feel our relationship is scrutinized more. We criticize our partners excessively and not celebrate their beauty, we pull away their flaws. We may not be emotionally involved.
The quest for integrity in relationships becomes the enemy of happiness. We analyse our emotions until we die, rather than simply experiencing them.
Blessing of Salvation: Paribaltan Yoga with Mercury
The good news is: Venus will take part in Paribaltan Yoga, an exchange of signs with Mercury. This occurs when Venus occupy Mercury’s signs (Virgo) and mercury simultaneously occupy Venus signs. This planet exchange creates a special cancellation of debilitating that continues until October 24th.
During this period, Venus’ challenges in Virgo soften significantly. The exchange allows these two friends (Benny and Mercury) to support each other. Mercury brings discriminatory intelligence to help Venus make better choices in relationships and finances, and Venus adds charm and grace to Mercury’s analytical mind.
However, once this exchange ends on October 24th, the total weight of Venus’ weakness will be felt until November 2nd. This final week requires special awareness of relationship dynamics and self-criticism.
Opposite of Saturn: October 11th
On October 11th, Venus opposes Saturn, creating a particularly challenging aspect. Saturn is a planet of responsibility, hard work, patience and discipline. When Saturn opposes Venus, we may experience:
relationship:
- Feelings of restriction or confinement in partnership
- Feeling of emotional distance or cold
- Relationships feel more like work than joy
- Depression or dissatisfaction in intimate connections
- The need to make a serious commitment or face the reality of the relationship
lesson: Saturn wants us to grow in our relationships. He asks: Do you want to put in the effort to make your partnership truly meaningful? Can you find a way to not only complain, but also increase friendship with your partner? Saturn opposes seeking Venus’ joy on issues of sustainability and long-term commitment.
The treatment during this period is patience and acceptance. Saturn teaches us that the most difficult workers need to relax at times and that our efforts should be directed for the benefit of society as a whole.
Neptune’s Opposition: October 13th
Two days later, on October 13th, Venus opposes Neptune, bringing a totally different energy. Neptune rules over fantasies, confusion, dreams and mystical things. When Neptune opposes Venus:
Please note:
- Unrealistic expectations in relationships and romance
- Rather than seeing who they really are, get lost in a fantasy about their partners
- Economic disruption or deception
- An idealistic vision that may not be based on reality
- Increased empathy and compassion, but possible codependent
- The fog of romantic fantasy obscures practical considerations
lesson: Neptune wants us to access the highest spiritual aspect of Venus: love and universal compassion between them. However, Neptune can also create clouds of confusion, allowing us to see what we want to see, rather than what we are. Be particularly careful of new romantic interests or major financial decisions during this transit.
Neptune’s Rahu-like quality reminds us that there may be deceptions in play, such as self-deceptions and deceptions from others. Please ground. If something seems too good, it is probably.
Navigation during this period: Practical Relief
1. Engage in Venus activities Even when Venus is weak, its essential properties must be respected. The treatment for weak Venus is to carry out Venus activity.
- Sing even if you think you can’t carry a song
- Dance – Let your body move with music
- Cooking beautiful and nutritious foods
- Draw, draw, or engage in creative expressions
- Make jewelry or engage in other arts and crafts
- I appreciate the beauty of nature
Remember, we often need to do things that are difficult for us to strengthen our weak planets.
2. Venus Mantra Practice Start reciting the Venus mantra on Friday: “Aum Namah Shukraya”
How to pronounce:
- aum – Sounds like “Ohm” (rhyme of “Home”)
- Nama – “nah-mah” (nah rhymes with “spa” and rhymes with “ma”)
- shukraya – “shoo-krah-yah” (shoo like “Shoe”, Krah rhymes with “spa”, like “Ya” in “Yahoo”))
Put it all together: “Ohm Nama Shu Kra Ya.”
What it means:
- aum(om) = Universal sound. The primitive vibration of creation
- Nama = “I bow” or “salute” (gesture of respect and surrender)
- shukraya = “To Venus” (Shukra is the Sanskrit name for the planet Venus)
So the entire mantra translates as follows: “OM, I’ll bow to Venus.” or “Salute to Venus”
This simple mantra honors Venus and invokes the positive qualities of love, beauty, harmony and richness. By reciting it, you essentially respect the planetary god and seek support to strengthen Venus’ energy in your life.
Traditional prescriptions are 16,000 repetitions over time, but even 108 repetitions (one mara) on Friday are useful.
Listen or recite for a deeper practice of prayer Lalita Sahastranam on friday. This thousand-name hymn to the woman of God directly honors the highest spiritual nature of Venus.
3. Make what you offer As Venus is in Virgo (the Earth sign of Mercury), suitable offerings include:
- Sandalwood paste or sweet scent
- White flowers
- fruit
- Rice pudding, ghee or milk
- Beautiful fabrics in white or pastel colors
We make these offerings with deep love and respect, as if to give a gift to our dear friend.
4. Related work This is a great time:
- Practice accepting partner imperfections
- Stop trying to “fix” or improve your partner
- Beware when you are overly critical and paused
- Remember that the quest for the perfect partner is preventing you from evaluating the real person in front of you
- Increase acts of service (Virgo’s strength) as an expression of love
5. Self-love and self-acceptance The secret of Venus in Virgo is learning to be kind to yourself. People on Virgo ascending or Venus in Virgo often suffer from self-criticism. During this transport, we all feel it more keenly.
“I’m just as good as I am.” The critical voice in your head is not true. It’s just Saturn and Mercury are trying to beat you perfectly. Tell that voice to take a break.
Silver lining
Venus in Virgo teaches us all about all of its challenges. True love begins with self-acceptance. When we can love ourselves with all imperfections, we can ultimately love others without trying to change them.
This transport calls for abandoning the fantasies of perfect relationships and accepting the beautiful, messy and incomplete reality of love that actually exists. It teaches us that service and dedication (the gift of Birgo) is a powerful expression of love when it comes from the heart, not from a critical and controlled place.
The opposition from Saturn and Neptune reminds us that relationships require both ground and magic, both responsibility and romance, both commitment and inspiration.
I’ll move forward
Use the gift of Paribaltan yoga until October 24th to do a deep work of relationship healing and self-acceptance. Once that cancellation rises, you’re ready to bless you’ll be able to navigate the final week of Venus’ debilitating debilitating Venus.
Remember: The debilitated planet is our teachers. They show where we have work to do, where the karma of our past creatures has not left a lesson. Rather than fear this transport, we accept it as an opportunity to ultimately get Venus right. Learn how to love yourself without losing yourself with criticism, enjoy it without demanding perfection, experience a guilt-free joy.
Venus emerged from Virgo on November 2nd and is ready to bring her gift of beauty, love and joy with new strength. Until then, be kind to yourself and others. Through Virgo’s humble service and acceptance lessons, the path to divine love – divine love, the best expression of Venus.
