Leo’s Mars will oppose Pltune this weekend. We already experienced this aspect in January 2025. You may be drawn back to the passions and problems you experienced at the time. That concentrated Mars/Pltune energy can bring intense fire and conflict. This opposition brings power dynamics to the forefront, calling on us to consciously explore them so that they do not take over our experiences.
Kelly finishes with a brief overview of the lovely new moon in Taurus, focusing on setting intentions and washing the slate neatly.

Pluton in Taurus + Mars on the other side of the new moon
Hello, welcome to another episode of Kelly’s Astrology Podcast.
Today, I would like to talk about Mars, on the other side of the Pltune side, which took place this weekend on April 26/27. I’ll briefly touch on the new moon in Taurus, but most of today’s shows are about Mars on the other side of Pluto.
Before we dive, we wanted to let you know about our next online astrology course. This is an introduction to the Zodiacal release. Discovering how to use this ancient timing technique will help you learn how to mark major chapters of life. You can find out more or sign up through the website kellysastrology.com.
Now, go back to Mars, opposite Pltune. Hide your degree and details. That way you’ll jump into the theme.
Mars becomes 3 Leo and opposes the Pluto 3 Aquarius. This aspect will peak on Saturday the 26th if you are in Canada and the US, or on Sunday the 27th if you are in the UK, Australia or Europe.
This is the second Mars, beyond Leo and Aquarius. The first Mars returned in early January. This may lead you to find yourself being drawn back to your passion and problems since early January. This is because a similar part of Zodiac will be activated this weekend.
Mars moves a little slowly, so this aspect is kind of drawn out, and you may feel it for a few days from Friday to Sunday, even if the aspect peaks and shares the exact date.
So, what is Mars on the other side of Pltune? Many deep, complex and intense!
Mars represents anger, passion, courage and willingness to fight.
UTO tune is about power, wealth, and often control, and things like depth, strength, obsession and obsession.
Opponents show some tension and differences. At the opposite, the distance and their differences could now emerge, as the two planets are as far apart as possible.
To sum together some of these themes, we may have the feeling that Mars can do on the other side of UTO tune about intense passions as well as passionate differences. There is a quality of power and control that you may be swept or pushed back.
Obsessions may consume you as if you are digging deep into research, exploration, and research.
Whenever Pluton is in the mix, you’ll want to understand things on a deeper level. You may be determined to seek answers and solve problems or at least pass the power of will.
The Mars/Pltune combination can stimulate intense concentration and effort.
Navigating tensions and working through different priorities is probably part of this Mars on the opposite side of Pltune’s side. Power dynamics may also need to be considered. You may want to understand the origins of the dynamics you have come to notice, or you may be surprised by the experience of control that you didn’t expect.
Given that Mars and Pltune oppose each other’s two fixed signs of Leo and Aquarius, there is a lot of stubborn and determined energy here, so it is probably necessary to be patient and persistent.
Another idea worth keeping in mind about this opposite side of Mars is that it is second in a series of Mars opposition to Plput in Aquarius. This is a pattern that will be repeated every few years in the next 20 years or so.
So there are clues that you may be starting to be fired for something newer to you. You may find yourself in a new kind of power dynamics, or you may find yourself having a different kind of disagreement with the people around you.
This is like coordinating new passions and new battles in a new era.
Pluton of Aquarius – A longer trend that begins in 2024 and continues until 2044 will change power and alliances both personally and collectively. As this starts to happen, the things you want to agree with will change. What you are passionate about will change, and so will your troubles and anger.
This aspect isn’t necessarily fun, but it helps you connect with undercurrents you didn’t know about. This will allow you to choose what to do and what to do with a more conscious awareness.
Aquarius’ Pltune and these key aspects ensure that new dynamics are brought to life in a new era, and with Mars in the Mix, it’s time to find new ways to express your anger, tailoring to new passions and needs, and to assert yourself about what you’re increasingly aware.
This morning, I was rereading the part where things fell apart by Pema Chodron, and reminded me of the understated concept of Buddhism. Chodron avoids how to act modestly. She talks about how modest practices can help you to calm down and become aware of fear. And there is much you can gain from being able to hold back on that impulse or be with fear and restlessness rather than immediately grabbing for entertainment or running away at the moments of discomfort.
Chodron talks about how the reserves are in a pause, how to become a space between ICK and Escape, and between anger and reaction. And how to learn in this space helps minimize obsessive-compulsiveness.
This modest concept may feel like a useful strategy this weekend, as powerful Mars on the other side of Pltune’s side can emphasize obsessive or unconscious tendencies. If you find yourself reaching for something out of your habits or avoiding unpleasant feelings, can you instead stay in annoying or anxious? If so, you may find a way to deeper personal power as you always learn the new ways of being with yourself, not in places where you are distracted, or competed.
I have promised to briefly talk about the new moon in Taurus. This is one of the nice new satellites that arrives on the 27th and offers a sweet opportunity to re-set.
The new moon will arrive just after the exact Mars opposite the side of Pluto, which will help you wash the slate cleanly. The new moon is ruled by Venus in Pisces. Since Pisces is merely separate from Saturn, some levels of this new moon may provide opportunities to leave complex or intense situations in the past. If you can’t completely let go, it is certainly a clue that it is easier to find it to be burdened or advance new joys.
Thank you for participating!
I look forward to catching you next time, please be careful
