I’ll preface this by saying, as someone who has a closet full of camel coats and sweaters, I think this color is one of the most timeless and expensive-looking colors. That said, this color has reigned as the neutral color of fall and winter for as long as most of us can remember, so it’s no wonder people are ready for something different. I don’t think camel will ever go away, but these days we’re seeing more and more celebrities, influencers, and editors in other colors than camel, and even Jennifer Lopez wore it from head to toe to a theater in New York. Although this difference is a bit subtle, it’s still a big difference considering camel has long been popular during the fall and winter months.
The color I’m referring to is oatmeal, but some might argue otherwise that Although it is different from a camel, do It feels fresher and I’ve noticed more brands offering it instead of camel in their new clothing color options this season. Well worth it. Oatmeal is lighter and has a slightly cooler tone. Some people may find it easier to wear than camel. Lopez seemed to be a fan too, wearing an oversized oatmeal cardigan and baggy pleated pants that night. I think you will agree that she looked very elegant and cool.
