Unfortunately, today is my last day in Paris. For now.
In just a few hours, you’ll be taking a long flight back to the United States with oversized luggage.

After 20 years of Fashion Bomb Daily, every event feels even more important. As I sat at Manish Malhotra’s show and gazed at the magnificent set pieces, I felt a tremendous sense of gratitude. Thanks to your support of my little blog, I might be able to step into a room like this and introduce you to things that inspire you, designers you don’t know about, or people you might want to know.

I think it was on the 1st anniversary that it finally appeared on this site. Until then, I was a brainless, initially anonymous 20-something living in New York. In addition to it being refreshing for people to know who I was, I remember someone commenting on things like how low the front of my dress was. There will always be detractors, but there will also be people who will praise you every step of the way.

I learned to take the good with the bad and realized that part of my mission here is to be an example for others who don’t always see themselves reflected in the industry they want to be a part of.

I’m here to represent women, curvy women, and women of color who love fashion. We’re here to represent women who weren’t born into the 1%, aren’t singers, actors, rappers, or reality stars…but still enjoy style. Is it considered fashionable?

Thank you very much for your participation. From fashion week crash shows to haute couture front rows, one blog post, Instagram post, Tik Tok post, and You Tube video (!) at a time.
After 20 years, you’ll know how many more years you have 🙂

Smoothitch!
