With summer in full swing, I thought I’d share a roundup of my current favorites. This year was an unusually hot and humid summer. My skin definitely feels it, and while there are very few things that can really stand up to the extreme heat, this year has been full of new beauty discoveries that I love.

raffia bag
I love a good raffia bag and this medium basket from Loewe was one I bought three years ago (time really flies). Despite reading mixed reviews about this style, it has held up surprisingly well. Mine was a seasonal color, but I still make it. Classic beige with black or brown logoalong with some new style this year. I’ve noticed a few miu miu stuff But I still can’t decide on a color. Please let me know if you have a favorite!

For more affordable options, Eric Javits Squishy Tote It’s a long time favorite. These are beautifully made and hold their shape well if you prefer a more structured style. I have 2 colors (black mix and neutral mix) and they lasted a very long time for me too.

summer hat
Continuing on Eric Javits’ note, his line of hats is a must-have for me. It has the best sun protection of any hat I’ve tried so far, so I always bring it with me to the pool or beach. of hamptons style is my favorite, but bucket hat. You can get great deals when you shop directly on their site.

favorite sunglasses
I’m a bit addicted to sunglasses, but since I found this chanel rectangle stuffI haven’t splurged much on other styles. I own this in tortoiseshell and black. It goes with literally everything and I love the shape. These are also the words I receive the most praise from.

portable electric fan
of Dyson HushJet Portable Mini Fan I bought this on impulse this year and I really like it. It easily fits in my tote bag and was a lifesaver for me during Miami Swim Week.

sunscreen
I’m working on an updated sunscreen roundup and have a few favorites I’d like to share right now. It’s not easy to find something that goes well with your makeup, doesn’t come off easily, doesn’t slide into your eyes, and has a high SPF. Many people ask for mineral recommendations, but I still prefer chemical formulas.

As for the face, I really like it La Roche Posay Anthelios UV Air Serum Sunscreen SPF50, Tatcha the Milky Sunscreen SPF 50+, Prequel Solar Shade SPF 46, Chanel UV Essential and new Christian Dior Le Fluid Invisible SPF 50. These are compatible with my foundation which has a high SPF rating and have worked really well for me.
for the body Shiseido A hands-down winner as the best long-wear formula that resists sweat and water. of Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protector It’s been my go-to for years. I also tried Sun protector mineral version It has amazing staying power and adheres well to the skin. The only downside is that it is very difficult to remove at the end of the day.
I love it too kopari sunglaze sheer body mist. For me, this is better than most sunscreen sprays because it’s not an aerosol. When I actually applied it to my skin, it lasted well even in water. The glitter is beautiful and it’s not too shiny. It doesn’t feel sticky and has a good dry down.
best body oil

Lately, my skin has been feeling extremely dry due to the heat. I recently rediscovered it, l’occitane almond body oil And now I remember why I loved it so much. The updated look is beautiful, but no different than the original. of almond shower oil This is another classic that Andrew and I love. It will feel very luxurious! Shower oil goes in here. almond gift set Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts next week.
makeup favorites

I have a lot of new favorite makeup looks this year. My favorite foundations released this year are: YSL Skin Affair Soft Glow Cushion Foundation At 7.5N (look at it) active here). It’s very easy to apply, doesn’t take much effort to blend, and has perfect coverage. I love that it lasts all day and my skin looks and feels even better.

I really like it for adding a healthy glow to the complexion Sarah Claire Today’s Highlight Cream Highlights. It adds a beautiful dewy glow without being sticky like many Baum sticks. I love how it looks so natural on my skin.
Charlotte Tilbury Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint is still my favorite. Try layering or mixing it with other foundations. one of you recommended it hollywood flawless filter If you’re looking for a more natural glow, you’re definitely right. I am wearing it in shade 7.5.
armani fluid sears Of course it’s a classic. I alternate between shades 10 and 11. That’s because shades 10 and 11 are closer to your skin tone, giving you a soft glow that feels lit from within.
of road highlight milk is also worth mentioning. Click here for the full review. I love the shiny, thin liquid texture.

For cream bronzers, there are three relationships: road pocket bronze, Westman Atelier Soleil Parfait Duo and dior forever skin bronze stick. I’ve always been a powder bronzer fan, but this year’s new products completely changed my mind.
- Rhode is the creamiest and easiest to blend (review) here, demo here)
- Westman Atelier Duo has a great neutral and cool mix (review hereon the skin here)
- Dior is the best long lasting satin formula for me (review and swatches) here)
best summer red

Nails that I’m obsessed with essie geranium. Girls, do you know my favorite pedicure shades? hermes orange poppy But this year I made a switch. Last Christmas, Andrew booked us a staycation at The Standard Spa in Miami Beach. We had a spa treatment and manicure/pedicure together and had the best time. I brought my own colors for the pedicure, but at the last moment I asked Andrew to help me choose a new color. he chose geranium I ordered a bottle as soon as I got home. I’ve been working on this problem almost nonstop for the past year. It’s the perfect bold summer red. (sandals are fendi I love them and do TTS, but I recommend adding these non-slip grip pad. )
lip loves

As for lips, I shared Chanel Rouge Coco Baume Shine We released sparkling pink a few weeks ago, but unfortunately it sold out quickly. Although it is not absolutely recommended, dior addict lip glow butter Similar effects can be achieved with pink (review) here). If you don’t like the glitter, new is better. YSL candy glaze Bubblegum pink (color sample available) here) is definitely a favorite.
Although I’ve been playing around with other tones lately, I’m still a neutral lip lover. The best neutral for me right now is Chanel Rouge Coco Baume Honey Bliss (with sample) herebecomes. Next week is this cute set) and Chanel Rouge Coco Hydra Gloss in 443 Impartinente (reviewed) here).

Commitment to hair care
I have two favorite hair products that I just can’t stop using. of Oribe detangling spray is still the best detangler I’ve tried and it’s been a lifesaver lately as my hair ends get tangled easily. I have also reached out my hand Oribe Super Shine Smoothing Wax Stick a lot. it is, R+Co dart stick But I’m reaching for Oribe more, it gives it a little more shine.

Neither stick looks or feels greasy, but you should definitely wash your hair at night if you sweat a certain amount. I’m trying to find a hairspray that works for my hair, but wax pomade sticks are the only thing that works for my pesky flyaways.
summer perfume

Last but not least, there are two new perfumes that I’m completely obsessed with this year. I discovered memo paris Thanks to some influencers I met this year. The latest release from them is Menorca It’s the best citrusy bergamot I’ve smelled this year. Think bergamot, salty vibes, and notes of neroli, ginger, lemon, and sandalwood.
I will always be a Creed fan wild vetiver This is probably my favorite scent this year. It’s so powerful and so unique. Contains a beautiful combination of vetiver, bergamot, timur berry, rose, geranium, black current, cedarwood and amberwood. This is the scent that makes me stop and ask about it the most. If you’re used to the Creed scent, you’ll love the new scent. wild vetiver very different from original vetiver This one is a really clean and fresh scent (more masculine for me). Wild Vetiver is a bold feminine version. I love sea green refillable atomizer They also launched this perfume (but you can put any scent inside it).
Here’s a quick look at two wines that aren’t new, but are still in summer bottles. i love Killian’s Tanned Goddess and Creed Virgin Island Water A symbolic scent of summer.
I know it was a long list, but I wanted to combine it all into one post. If you have any favorite things to do in summer, please let me know in the comments.
