The trio of Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Weapon Extremis (Laura Kinney), and Legion (Illyana Rasputin) are friends with very different ideas about how to stop the prophesied apocalypse brought about by the return of the Phoenix, and are turned against each other as they struggle to determine whether their actions are more likely to save the world or hasten its destruction. Will the Mangaverse revival be over before it even begins?
The Kellys have a deep fandom and appreciation for manga and anime, and regularly bond over events related to their favorite stories, so co-piloting the Mangaverse’s 25th anniversary together felt like a natural fit for them.
“My dad and I spend hours each week talking about everything that’s going on in the comics and manga we love, so it was an honor to be asked to do this for Marvel,” Jack explains.
“When Lauren and Mark came to me about the Mangaverse project and offered me the opportunity to co-write, specifically with Jack, I immediately said yes,” Joe added. “This project is a love letter to manga and anime through the Marvel Mangaverse, brought to wonderful life by artist Kenny Lewis.”

“The creators participating in this celebration are all huge manga fans, many of whom have international manga backgrounds or who have been heavily influenced by manga in their creative work,” added editor Lauren Amaro. “Of course, none of this would exist without the original work that inspired the creators, so when it came time to cast the main cover, the first person that came to mind was Yuji Kaku, a renowned manga artist with whom I had the pleasure of working. moon knight stage. After losing her best friend, Lili finds herself on a dangerous path of revenge with the legendary magician known as Moon Knight. iron knight #1 is an action-packed one-shot inspired by shonen and will be released on September 9th.
The following one-shot comes from the team of rising star author Ashley Allen (Magic & Colossus) and artist Mirka Andolfo (Ms. Marvel) They introduce the Arcane Avengers, a group of reluctant sorcerers led by Bucky Barnes from the Winter Soldier. Cursed to defeat and imprison demonic apparitions along with his teammates Bloodline and Wiccan, Bucky seeks a chance to free himself and finally free himself from the clutches of his captors. As the team’s resources are strained by a new monster invasion, Bucky plans to escape, but all his plans are thrown into turmoil by the sudden reappearance of his former childhood friend Hawkeye. esoteric avengers #1, released on September 16th.
