all the wonders
Written by Katherine Scherer and Irene Bodeau
The Earth takes approximately 365.25 days to orbit the Sun. The moon revolves around the sun, but the moon revolves around the earth. The moon is not a planet because a planet must orbit the sun as its primary independent body. Despite all this happening, we feel great peace when the sun rises and sets each day.
Hearing birds chirping in spring after a long, harsh winter brings joy to new moments. The sun is shining, flowers are blooming, and the air is getting warmer. As the sun filters through the trees warms our faces and the calm lake breeze blows through our hair, we are reminded that winter has come to an end.
We often take for granted the abundance of gifts from the universe, but the universe provides us with all the blessings of air, water, food, and shelter. Enough is provided without any questions asked. Abundance is everywhere. One tree produces thousands of seeds. A grown garden will be full of food. Scarcity is not the law of life. Nature blesses without expecting anything in return.
Life is full of wonders. It’s easy to see when you stop and look at the undeniable beauty that is already looking out at us. The beauty of family and friendship. The beauty of kindness and consideration for others. The beauty of loving others and allowing others to love us.
There is intense beauty in our world, and it is ours.
Stop, look and listen.
Wonders of beauty can be found in nature, music, memories, love, and even painful experiences that we may not always understand. Each person’s wonder may be different from another’s wonder, but we share much of the same. Sometimes we tend to think that our lives lack beauty. But we must remember that seeing beauty in life is an inner work.
Spending time in nature can have positive effects. Encounters with all aspects of the natural environment can restore life energy that is often taken away by negative emotions. Just being outdoors reduces stress. Just a walk in the woods or a walk on the beach can awaken feelings of happiness and peace deep within. Hiking, gardening, and bird watching can strengthen relationships and act as a catalyst for happiness. Feeling the slightest breeze or the warm touch of the sun can make us feel alive from within. It has been noted that people are more polite, humble, and well-behaved when living in a more natural environment.
Beauty is on the outside of us, beauty is on the inside. It can stop us in our tracks and make us think about our own lives and the things we often overlook in our day. Focusing on beauty frees our minds from negativity and prevents us from criticizing, blaming, judging, and finding fault with ourselves and others. It helps connect everyday moments with deeper spiritual meaning in a simple way, unzipping us to hear the deepest calling of our hearts. Focusing on beauty and blessings is a choice. This is an option that benefits us like no other. And this is the beauty that we can share.
When you appreciate the beauty of life, the beauty of the moment becomes unique. Please take your time. Be honest and enjoy its benefits. That alone can bring you peace and joy. Don’t wait until tomorrow, see the beauty that’s already here today.
