Spiritual enlightenment, ego death, awakening…these are all things we strive for, but at the same time they are intangible and abstract in the modern world. Where can I find these destinations? What are the differences between them? how Will we wake up when we have our hearts, egos, and brains trapped in the reality we perceive? If you’ve ever been in the depths of despair, you’ve probably been lying in bed thinking, what do you mean?you felt like you were on the verge of losing your sanity, or you went through a period where your entire life changed based on a change in perception, you experienced a deterioration of your ego… and you started to wake up. Ego degradation is a journey. It’s about pulling back the veil of illusion to see how your mind is programmed. And fully understand that nothing you encounter is real, just created by the ego.

Scientifically, everything is the same. Everything in the universe is made up of energy, and it is only through our senses that we can distinguish it. This makes it very difficult for the ego to understand Oneness. This is because it creates dualities such as me and others, light and darkness, good and evil, and good and bad. This creation of duality by the mind allows humans to perceive and believe themselves to be based on the characteristics of their personality, physical attributes, subjective value system, and social programming. Your physical appearance may be brunette, tall, and culturally perceived as beautiful or handsome. Your ego’s personality traits may be seen as funny, intelligent, and spontaneous. Your ego’s values may be considered socially or religiously moral, virtuous, and honest. But all these perceptions are not who you are, but a programmed value system set in your ego. Who you are and what everything is – the universe manifested in physical form. It is only the ego that is telling you different.

The ego likes to play tricks on us, telling us that what we see and feel is the ultimate truth, when in reality it is just a programmed belief. One of the tricks the ego plays is to create judgments, and judgments come from two things. It is the biological systems and persuasive values that keep us safe and the species alive. Looking at the example presented, perceiving the body as attractive can have different biological and social consequences. Biologically, the response would be either “I’m attracted to them and want to have children,” or “Their attraction reduces my chances of having children, and now they’re a threat.” This is not cognitive, but purely biological. But when you add the ego’s judgments, you create entirely new emotions, thoughts, and behaviors that can consume your life if you’re not careful about them. In this particular situation, the emotions and thoughts can be jealousy, envy, admiration, awe, gratitude, stimulation, assumption, expectation, comparison, humility, scrutiny, etc. That fear is not only that there is no longer the best option for reproduction, but also of not feeling worthy enough or loved enough, and the ego’s renewed desire to “prove” both externally and internally why it is not a threat, that its body is exactly like this other body, to claim this other body, or to find fault with this other body. The problem is not in the judgment itself, but when the ego becomes so attached to the judgment that it can affect one’s mental peace and ultimately lead to the deterioration of the ego. The stronger the ego’s attachment, the more painful the ego degradation, and the more powerful the ego degradation must be to achieve the same effect. When there is a degradation of the ego, we realize that we are not what the ego taught us and are exactly the same.

To prevent the ego from clinging to created judgments, we must ask ourselves why Do I have this judgment? Mindfulness is always the answer when it comes to becoming acutely aware not only of how the ego goes about its day-to-day life, but also of the programming it has been indoctrinated with. Simple judgments about the appearance of another person’s body can be thoroughly shattered until one finally realizes what the judgment came from, which is usually trauma. It’s easy to say, “I don’t like this actor/actress because she looks so stupid,” but it’s quite another thing to dig deeper and realize that this abstract perception is programmed in relation to the ego. Maybe your partner is attracted to this actor/actress and you use your intellect to destroy their image. Maybe this actor/actress said something in an interview that your ego doesn’t agree with. Maybe you’re being triggered because you were a “nerd” at school and couldn’t get the attention of the people you liked. Perhaps this actor/actress has played a role in the past that fits very well in terms of what you’ve been through and your ego has drawn similarities (also trauma). Perhaps you are craving their body and are using your cognitive judgment as a way to soothe yourself. Your judgment is shaped by what you experience and what you are taught. They did not emerge from the ether without any ego reasoning behind them. What you can learn by asking questions why That is, what you believed to be hateful is actually related to egoic trauma. Please notice, recognize and understand this. The more you understand your mind, the less you will become attached to things. The more detached you are, the less the ego will have control over you and the less it will cause you pain when you experience ego degradation.

Ego is not “bad”. The ego is necessary for us to live on this plane of existence and function within our bodies and society. We need the ego to keep our bodies safe, to fall in love, to identify, and to experience life as humans. What we don’t need is ego to cause us constant stress, anxiety, depression, and irritation. We don’t need our ego to sublimate our emotions, create assumptions and expectations, or cling to judgment. The ego, like the senses, is a tool that benefits us, but as we evolve, so does the ego, and now we let it run our lives without realizing that it is controlling us rather than the other way around. We must constantly monitor the ego, be aware of what it is doing, and try to dig deep into it. why. If ego degradation occurs to you, it will help alleviate all the falsehoods that the ego has made you believe. And the beauty of ego deterioration is that you can then reprogram it to your liking, heal deep-seated traumas that were previously untouchable, and notice how the ego weaves stories based on the stories it has been taught. The degradation of the ego allows us to see beyond the dreamscape created by the ego and understand our power as a universe interconnected with all that is egoically unaffected by anything.

About this book:

If you have ever completely changed the way you live and do things after hitting rock bottom, you have experienced ego deterioration. If you have ever experienced unexplained physical symptoms, that is, your personality is no longer recognized by your friends and family, you are experiencing ego deterioration. If you have ever felt like you were losing your mind, but you have become more spiritual, more conscious, and more connected, you are experiencing ego deterioration.

Ego degradation is the “way” to awakening, and this is why awakening is accompanied by so many physical symptoms. That is, when the mind is no longer able to accept a misunderstood entity and is thereby stripped of its own programming. Using science and psychology to explain how the brain and society create programming within the ego, and using philosophy and spirituality to provide step-by-step action on how to overcome the emotions and feelings that surface due to trauma and triggers, we explain that what is experienced by the person you believe you are is actually just a perception.
