Anyone who has spent a summer in New York City knows that humidity and fine hair don’t mix. By the time you get to the office, the styling you did at home somehow falls off or disappears completely.

But this year, I’m on a mission to keep my blowout going long after I leave the house. Besides my trusty can of hairspray, I’m going to reach for: Goddess Maintenance Biotech Blowout Hair Maska pre-styling leave-in treatment that preps your hair for hot tools and brings it all together.

Here’s how I use it: After shampooing and conditioning, while your hair is still slightly damp, apply a dime-sized amount of light cream from mid-lengths to ends. Then use a hair dryer to dry it. Sometimes, if I’m in the mood, I’ll use a curling iron to give it a quick bend.

To be honest, even with a mask on, my explosive power still isn’t invincible (again, this is New York in the summer after all), but at least now I have a fighting chance.

Goddess Maintenance Biotech Blowout Hair Mask is included in the July Allure Beauty Box.
