Is the New Medicube Booster Pro x2 Better Than the Original?

The device’s six modes are primarily activated by microcurrents, small amounts of electrical current sent to the skin to stimulate skin cells and facial muscles. “Microcurrent has been shown to aid wound healing and reduce inflammation, so it is thought that it may help stimulate collagen and elastin production and tighten skin.” Marisa Garshicka board-certified dermatologist in New York City, MD, previously shared.

Like version 1.0, Medicube Booster Pro X2 combines its microcurrent technology with LED light that “uses multiple wavelengths across the visible spectrum.” Mona GoharaM.D., a board-certified dermatologist in Hamden, Conn., told us about the original device earlier this year. “[That] Depending on the mode you choose, you may be able to address different skin concerns. ”

Before we get into the product details, please know that Booster Pro X2 is not FDA cleared. This designation does not mean that the device will actually work, but it does ensure that it is similar enough to products already cleared in the United States to be considered safe. At the end of the day, FDA approval doesn’t mean much, but some consumers feel comfortable investing in a device that has it. The first generation Booster Pro is also not FDA cleared.

Differences from Medicube Booster Pro

Higher intensity levels mean the whole experience is more “spicy”.

Medicube did not come to take advantage of this new and improved device. Our editors found the original model to be rather intense. Cruel said the medium setting “felt like muscle cramps (in a good way).” meanwhile, allure Commerce Editor Sarah Han reported, “The microcurrent mode is the most powerful I’ve ever tried…I can literally feel the muscles in my jawline being stimulated.”

This next-generation device is more expensive, but to be fair, people were asking for it. According to Medicube, customer feedback has literally leveled it up, bringing the Booster Pro X2 to its 6th strength level. You might want to level up, but the brand recommends starting at level 1 for all modes, and I couldn’t agree more (I’ve never gone beyond level 4 out of 6, even though I use it quite often).
