The Internet Made Me Buy It – With The Rest Of The EHD Team’s Viral Product Reviews

A few weeks ago, Caitlin wrote an article called “The Internet Helped Me Buy It – 12 Honest Reviews.” You guys (and we!) loved it! So, in 2025, most of us will have easily purchased a “viral” internet product or general recommendation. Look, we’re in that world too! Of course, some are great and others are disappointing to say the least. Caitlin’s post had such great results that the rest of the team decided to publish a viral product review so the world could see the wins and losses. Let’s dive right in.

Manicurist Starter Kit Gift Set

I hate getting my nails done (I like pedis, but not manicures). Still, many times I found myself doing legitimately embarrassing nails on the eve of a big “hands heavy” shoot or event (I work with my hands and type about 200 characters a minute, and I have short fingers and work hard!). So I was put on the market This home gel kit. It seemed easy and I felt like I could check the boxes myself. The process is very intuitive (just press one button depending on the coat you’re working with), but unfortunately the gel usually peels off within two days, so it’s not recommended. The product hasn’t arrived yet (and it’s a shame because it was expensive). Just kidding!

Medicube Zero Pore Pad 2.0 | Medicube Salmon DNA PDRN Pink One Day Serum

collagen jelly cream

Kelly Oxford has inspired me to buy beauty essentials that I now love. in her paid newsletter permanent retrograde, She lists five Korean beauty products that she confidently recommends (and you can see them everywhere now). Yes, we’re talking about salmon and shrimp DNA, and sperm (or so we’re told). I’m not sure when and in what order to use them (they’re all Medicube products, so I’m worried I’m overdoing them), but I’m hooked on them because they leave my skin plump and glowing. I go through these too quickly (but guys, it’s not expensive!!). Which to use and in what order requires further research. What I purchased was toner pad (After washing) But what really makes it shine and plump is these capsules (Since you use one bottle a day, the price will be high.) this gelit feels so good. I don’t have any moisturizer so I don’t know what to apply on top (I’m scared of mixing active ingredients). So any suggestions are welcome (I’m currently considering it, but I’m not in a great mood). On the other hand, I am very excited about this brand and am interested in Korean beauty products. this tool It’s on my Christmas list from Brian (Brian will say, “Why is it so expensive?” but out of desperation to actually get what I want, I’ll cave in and buy it).

flower bar

The founder of Jenny’s Ice Cream has shifted to…Fiber??? It seems like the protein craze has finally died down a bit and there’s a new panic going on…fiber (like protein, we’re all panicking about not getting enough of it) So I bought these new bars. flora. Well, do I like them? of course! But I’m such a habitual person that it’s hard to know what’s actually working right now. (I also take a lot of supplements and herbs to lower heart inflammatory markers). I still get plenty of protein, but when I don’t have time for fiber, I’ve decided that this bar is a good alternative. What are your thoughts?

Redken All Soft Shampoo & Conditioner

This was recommended by TikTok I found this while researching the best shampoo/conditioner for thin, dry hair. Passed. I should have tried a sample first. Oops :/ This might be better for straight hair, but it completely burnt out my wavy hair. Every time I used this, my hair looked like it had been electrocuted and was incredibly dry and brittle, even though I used tons of leave-in conditioner. Not worth the price! I like it Amika Luxurious shampoo/conditioner or just good old native At the drugstore!

citrus tea perfume

Perfume related documents To me, it always feels like one of those brands you see on Instagram ads, and it feels like a scam in a way. But after falling in love with the Le Labo sample and learning that the entire bottle costs $240, I decided to do a little research and give Dossier a try. Most of their scents are based on existing “designer” perfumes, so if you like something, be sure to check to see if it’s available. For just $49, what i got It smells exactly like that Le Labo scentand I really get more compliments than any other scent I’ve ever used. Well, it may not be the highest quality (in fact, a $240 perfume lasts longer than a $49 perfume), but it does a good enough job for a fair price. I haven’t tried the others, but I’m definitely interested.

Palmer’s Skin Therapy Cleansing Oil

TikTok has beauty influencers that everyone adores. her name is nina pooland she endorses all sorts of beauty and skin care “ducks” that are notorious for being just as good as she claims. I shopped under her influence. Palmer’s Skin Therapy Cleansing Oil (She alone sold out for several weeks). To be honest, I love this cleanser so much that I will continue to use it as long as this continues to work well for me. We plan to restock it as soon as it comes out, but it will be soon. It’s great for oily lines (mainly nose and chin), but I love using it all over. It’s very soft and has a luxurious feel. It also removes all your makeup in seconds, leaving your skin feeling and looking just the way you want it. Internet wins!

rechargeable light bulb

Now, let’s talk about my loser. I just looked up how to make it on the internet. This wired candlestick Works like a plugin. I considered rewiring it to make it one and even found some conversion kit I probably should have bought it instead of the “internet hack” I chose. these rechargeable light bulbs. It certainly sounded pretty great. It didn’t require a cord, could be screwed into any lamp, and the small plastic LED bulb could be removed from the socket to which it connected magnetically, making it easy to remove and charge. Well, I’ve never bothered to charge these, so they never light up when I want them to (lights work after charging, but I should have known they wouldn’t do the job). However, when I got home the other day, one of them was on the floor. The light bulb wasn’t made of glass, so it didn’t break. wonderful. However, because the adhesive holding the magnet in place broke, so did the light bulb. It could probably be fixed, but I don’t want to. It was a great idea, but I only used it once and it broke. So I’m thinking of buying a plug-in kit. Or use another lamp.

Pajama set (top + bottom)

Well, I talked about these recently in a linkup post and I really love them. This was probably one of my earliest “add to cart” moments in the past minute. I was watching TikTok and saw an ad of a girl wearing it. these pajamasAnd I knew in my head they were going to be great. This time I was right. The fabric was great. As I said in the post, “I’m wearing it.” shorts I think the size is perfect around my waist. However, if you want a little more room or want to wear them lower, consider sizing up. ”And what’s even better is that they’re extremely affordable at $18 and $19. I’m really unsure whether to buy it or not pants For the cold season. Thankfully, some still remain.

Allies of Skin Multi-Peptide & GF (Growth Factor) Advanced Lifting Serum

And some things are not affordable… this serum I can’t stop using it now, but I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I use it because of the price. This is the story. I saw a video (couldn’t find it!) of a beauty editor at a conference asking two dermatologists whether they would more or less recommend getting a facelift when you turn 40 because of sagging skin after losing a significant amount of weight. They both immediately said, “Don’t do that,” but one of them recommended this serum because of the really great clinical results. The other dermatologist immediately agreed to the proposal. Now, just to be clear, I was never thinking about getting a facelift, but as I approach 40, my face naturally changes. But I’m not going to deny that there are areas on my face that I wouldn’t mind being taught longer. So, I’ve been using it since June and I’m very satisfied with the condition of my skin. As with any skin care, consistency is key, so so far my skin has been happy with this serum. And after finishing two bottles, I signed up for a subscription that costs at least about $30 to see if I really liked it. So, what I’m saying is, I love it, but be sure to do your research and see what makes sense for your skin, but it’s a very good bang for your buck.

light blue mesh shoes

you’re seeing what you’re supposed to see my birthday shoes. I kept seeing it on Instagram and finally decided I wanted to wear it to my birthday dinner. Well…they showed up ripped. It was a shame because I was still able to try it on and liked it. Just in case you like it and you’re between sizes, I’ll exchange it and go down a half size too. So was this a win or a loss?

sunglasses

This was half a failure. I also kept receiving ads this sunglasses And I decided why not! It wasn’t too expensive ($49), so I wanted to try out a new shape. I know, just live a little! Well, the quality was perfect, but every time I tried it on, it seemed too thin for my face. Or do you think your eyes are too close? So it’s a gamble to buy sunglasses online, right? So I have nothing against this brand, but I wish it had a wider bridge 🙂

wrap gel kit

I received an advertisement for this wrap gel kitand wow, I love it. My usage example is: When I go for a gel manicure, I definitely don’t want one of my nails to chip, so I buy some red colors and color match them at the nail salon. I wear gel manicures regularly and when my nail polish wears off I can replace it with a sassy saint. Now my manicure lasted a full 3 weeks!! I also linked that I’m a big fan dazzle dry – This is now my go-to nail solution for home use (especially for pedicures). But it’s thick like a gel and lasts for over a week, so it’s also great for manicures 🙂

Original Sculptseat® Leggings

I was sold forLeggings that make your butt look beautiful” so naturally I bought them. In fact, these are some of my favorites because a.) they have no seams in the front, b.) are buttery soft, and c.) In fact, I highly recommend trying them out because they make your booty look great, as opposed to the Aro and Lulu leggings I own (which I still wear all the time, by the way, and the seams sometimes pale in comparison to the Paragon leggings)!

That’s it! Do you have a viral product that you bought and loved (or hated)? Let’s chat!

I love you, it’s true.
