What! I feel like March has passed in an instant and we are already in the middle of April. However, even on April 15th, I still wanted to post my goals for the month.
Incidentally, if you’re new here in 2025, you’re changing the way you set your goals. Instead of setting annual goals, we set monthly goals. Each month, we share a list of new goals for next month and an update on how we did our previous month’s goals.
I felt this approach could increase the flexibility of the unexpected unknowns that this year might come. We also set up a new start at the beginning of each month. And it allows me to adjust my goals until this month, and what I might know that it may already be held (i.e. I know I have more time and space than other months).
To categorize my goals, I use five areas of my prioritization and intentionality to prioritize myself, marriage, motherhood, moneysavingmom.com, and money.
So far, this approach has worked well! Here’s how we did our goals for March:

There are a lot going on in April, so we’re pulling back our goals a bit. One change I made at the beginning of the month was to start using the Opal app above and shut down all apps at 8pm. It cannot be overridden. You can stop the Mindless Scrolling at night and go to bed earlier, read, spend more time with Jesse, and generally spend the night.
