If you see my post about my goals for 2025, you will see that this year I am achieving my monthly goals, not my annual goals. So, although we didn’t set overall reading goals for 2025, we’re planning on setting monthly goals.
My goal for March is to complete six books and I’m excited to report that I’ve finished six books! And I completed the book of fiction (and I’m in another middle!!)
My sister kindly recommended that she read little fiction every day before going to bed. Soon, I’m not only doing it regularly, but I’m usually finding some small pockets all day long to read a little more! I’ve loved it and it was so good for my brain and my soul!
Every month, I will be sharing reviews of books I finished the previous month as many of you have asked me to return my book posts to my blog. Also, share more of what I’m reading in real time Instagram Stories and On a podcast and In my personal email newsletter.

Six books read in March
Frozen river – This was a truly interesting historical novel based on a true story. I realized it was heartbreaking to hear that women had no voice at all during this period. If you’re looking for historical fiction, I definitely recommend this book.
How wonderful is our God – I read aloud to these young children of prayer, and they loved it!! It was charming and really captured their attention. I definitely recommend it if you have a child who likes science!
Build true intimacy -I read this in preparation for a podcast interview and loved it that it challenged me – especially regarding my long-standing belief that strong marriages require compromises. The author argues about why compromise actually hurts marriage and relationships in the long run, and what to do instead. I’m dropping an episode of the podcast right away. So we discuss this they shared in their book!
The battle for us – yes! I read two marriage books this month. Both were preparing for podcast episodes, but I needed encouragement so I said yes to the podcast episode interview. This feels like I really want to grow this year and after 23 years of marriage, I am unhealthy and have come into the rut that is working to get out of them and build healthier rhythms and patterns. This book has an impact on my life and will be shared more quickly on my podcasts. And look for upcoming episodes where I can sit down and ask the author honest questions!
It’s not too late -Rebecca George was a new writer to me, but I was very blessed to read her words and interview her on a podcast. If you feel like you are left behind, left behind or behind in your life, I will be with this book Podcast episode together I will encourage you.
Celebrating around the table – When Torilia came to the podcast episode, she loved getting to know a little about Torilia. She’s very kind and clever The conversation with her is an episode of a podcast I think everyone will be listened, challenged and encouraged. Her book offers delicious recipes to guide history lessons, prayers and help celebrate black Christians.
For those who ask when I read: I always have several books at once, and I usually have one or two chapters of a Christian Inspiration book + two chapters each morning. Then my goal is to read fiction/story-driven books for at least 15 minutes.
Which books have you recently finished? I want to hear it!
