Worrying works like an avalanche of the mind. One small thought follows, then generates a larger thought, which produces an additional thought, then you roll it, speed up at an incredible speed, picking up more worrying thoughts.
Worries are both mentally and physically exhausting and can fundamentally change your mood in a few minutes when you hold it. Too much worry affects your happiness and your ability to let go and move forward.

But I get it… Sometimes worrying creeps up on you!
That was done for me just yesterday. I was in California at a meeting. And while it was an amazing event, I was so happy to be able to get home when Monday rolled over!
The thing is…as recommended, despite arriving at the airport 2 hours before the flight, I hardly missed it!
So I was standing at the airport’s incredibly long security line. The red light from the digital clock overhead is actually unstoppable as time passes quickly.
10 minutes until boarding time quickly changed to 5… and 10 minutes after the time I was planning on board the plane, I felt I was beginning to worry.
I really didn’t want to miss that flight and cried out that my ego was exactly what happened.
As you know, the worry is slippery slopes.
When you worry, your energy tends to escalate, and there’s nothing positive from there.
Luckily, I caught myself.
This is what I did…
I concentrated my energy inside, surrounded by light and angels, cleaned my energy, and said very intentionally in my mind…
“Angels, help me with my flight.”
“You’ll make it…” I asked in return.
“We’re going to make it,” I repeated loudly for both myself and my husband to listen.
After that, I stopped checking the clock, released my worries to the light, and promised to be completely present in the moment, breathing, and when the flight was lifted off the ground a few minutes later, I promised to trust to ride it.
And what do you know?
It worked!
I felt grateful as I ran out of breath as I found my seat on the plane and sweated down to the gate…
Of course, it’s not only because you’re on a plane, but also because you have the tools to stop worrying in the truck.
And today, that’s exactly what I want to share with you.
Even if worries creep up on you like it did for me, you can shift from it!
In fact, there are many simple techniques that can be used to bring you into a more positive, peaceful and enjoyable state of mind if practiced regularly, to help you ease your worries and relax your mind.
11 ways to stop worrying
1. Determine if you are worried about the present or future.
Consciousness is important. Because many of the things you worry about are things that have not actually happened yet and are likely never to happen. It’s truly eye-opening when you stop asking yourself whether the stress you’re generating is on top of the future event you’re trying to control, or whether it’s currently occurring.
Think back to some of your recent worries and ask yourself if you actually died. Honestly, the answer could be: not much. Worry is a habit, and worry ultimately takes on its own heart and convinces you that it is the most frightening thing in your life.
When your mind begins to use lack of control, don’t forget to question the origin of your worries. This will help you to return to the present and settle down. That way, it will take over and let go of any worrying thoughts before it starts an avalanche out of control.
2. Please go to sleep early
There are some interesting studies showing that people who sleep late or don’t get enough sleep are more likely to be stressed and overwhelmed by lasting negative thoughts than those who sleep before. These night owls tend to stay in the past and be more likely to be stressed about the future. Additionally, there are higher rates of PTSD, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and anxiety.
So, although it sounds too easy, something as easy as going to bed an hour earlier can make a difference when you worry. Can’t you sleep?

3. Get specific about your fears.
The worry is often vague and non-specific. They are just worried about something that might happen “someday” or running with the fundamental certainty that something “doesn’t work.”
Another question I found to help with how to stop worrying was, “What is the worst thing that happens?”
When forced to answer this question, it is always clear that the worst possible situations are actually less frightening, or relatively manageable, or correctable. Alternatively, the answer to this question may be very high and almost comical to help you see your concerns. That’s the first step to letting them go.
Get specifically and specifically about what you are worried about to reduce that power.
4. Breathing
There are around 1 billion studies showing the benefits of deep breathing on our physical and mental health. Taking this pause will calm you down and give you space to avoid worrying thoughts.
One technique I mentioned before is to inhale slowly and deeply, then slowly and deeply breathe slowly, hold your breath for a few seconds before holding it in order to hold it. Do this for just a few minutes and the clarity you lacked will certainly come.

5. Give your worries to the angels
I don’t think “handing over your worries to the angels” is too good to be true, but it… works! So the question remains, how do you do this?
It’s actually very easy. Say something like “angel help” and ask your angel for help, then start telling them what you are worried about and what you want to help!
Another way to hand over your worries is to write down what’s bothering you. This way journaling helps empty the mind that fear is turning. The writing process will help you organize your thoughts and release the responsibility to worry about things. Also, when your thoughts are tight and crowded, it brings clarity and space.
Once you’ve written down everything you’re worried about, then just finish by writing, “Angels, help me with all this.”
Then, burn the letter, tear it, put it in a “wary box”, letting go of your worries, and put it in a “wary box” knowing that you helped you navigate what you were worried about in the first place.

6. Walking in nature
When you are in a state of worry, it is because you are not grounded and disconnected. Getting out and stepping into the Earth, soaking in the sun, breathing fresh air and expressing gratitude for the incredible beauty you can see in nature is a great way to lower your stress levels and gain perspective.
In fact, walking in nature is a cure for many things and is a habit that you don’t need to worry about.
Additionally, exercises will help you release endorphins and create a feeling of energy and empowerment within you. Exercise is a victory victory because it increases physical vitality and strength, but it also helps you get away from the worrying avalanche that will overtake you.

7. I’ll retreat a little
In life, you need to juggle a lot at the same time. Once your plate is full, it’s really easy for your worrying thoughts to take over. But these are the moments that we are the most resilient and able to deal with. You don’t have to work on everything at once.
When you feel mentally vulnerable and have moments of worry creeping up, remember that you don’t need to think about them now. Tell yourself that you will think about them later. After eating, good night sleep, I ended up closing the project and then got some laundry. Anything you need to give yourself permission to go back to it. It will remain until you get strong.
With enough practice, this can make a huge difference in your life.
8. Please talk to a friend
Shedding light on those enduring fears, you will see how good it is to share. Even the act of loudly expressing your concerns can help you gain a more realistic perspective, but you may be talking to a good friend for a few minutes, laughing at yourself and wondering what you were doing.
It also has the added benefit of your friends may have great advice to share.
9. Stay here now
The habit of slowing down and acting with consciousness and intention helps you maintain your current moment. And generally speaking, the present moment doesn’t worry about it. The past and future are really throwing us for the loop when we wonder what happened and what is there.

If you feel overwhelmed, it takes two minutes to stop all your activities and practice mindfulness. Notice the room you are in, the sounds you hear, what you see. Open your senses for just a few minutes and keep a distance between your worries. When you are focusing on what is going on around you, you are practicing being completely present.

10. Decide one thing you can.
One of the best ways to shift away from worry and doubt is to move towards action. To start improving your situation or just let go of your worries, ask yourself what small or simple things you can do now. Make sure it’s easy enough to do it right away.
Once you take action, set your intention to make your worries go for the time being until you can take another step.
One step at a time can make a huge positive change in your life. Don’t be bothered by worrying about how everything will unfold… Take the next step and trust that the next step will appear afterwards.
11. Make sure you are energetically clear.
Stuck in worry is often the result of taking on lower vibrations and foreign objects energy from others and those around them. Furthermore, when you start worrying, you will start a downward spiral and take on even lower vibrational energy.
Clearing the energy allows you to quickly stop the downward spiral and move into a more positive state.
