Ginnifer Goodwin and Academy Award® winner Ke Hui Kuan joined Disney Animation Chief Creative Officer and Writer/Director Jared Bush, Producer Yvette Merino, and the local voice cast for the Chinese version of the highly anticipated animated action adventure to celebrate the upcoming release of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia 2 at the Shanghai Premiere at Shanghai Disney Resort.
The global celebration will be held at Shanghai Disney Resort’s Zootopia-themed land and will feature Goodwin, Quan, as well as Ji Guanlin (Judy Hopps), Zhang Zheng (Nick Wilde) and Da Peng (Gary de Snake). ), which kicked off with a star-studded red carpet event featuring members of the Chinese voice cast, including Chris Phillips (Mayor Winddancer), Jing Chen (Nibbles Maplestick), and Wang Anyu. (Pobert Linksley). Many foreign celebrities also attended.
The premiere, held at the Walt Disney Grand Theater in Shanghai’s Disney Town, included an afterparty in a Zootopia-themed land and ended with a Zootopia 2 projection show that lit up the magical storybook castle.
Since its release in 2016, Zootopia has set multiple records at the Chinese domestic box office and remains the highest grossing imported animated film ever. The short animated spin-off series “Zootopia+” leads the viewing charts in its category across video platforms in China.

In Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia 2, rookie cops Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) find themselves on the winding paths of a great mystery when Gary de Snake (voiced by Oscar® winner Kee Hui Kuan) arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down.
