Beauty confession time.

One of my biggest beauty joys is removing makeup. I know, I know.

As a beauty enthusiast, I’ve heard all the arguments against them. Double cleansing, cleansing balm, micellar water…I tried them all. But there’s something so satisfying about coming home after a long day, grabbing your makeup remover, and seeing every last drop of makeup removed from your face. No mess, no fuss. Honestly, that’s exactly the skincare routine I need.

The only downside? Some makeup wipes are not environmentally friendly. So I always save it for days when I really need it, like after an event, after a full face of makeup, or when I’m too tired to do skin care.

So when Natracare contacted me to ask if I would like to try their makeup remover wipes, I don’t think I’ve ever said yes so quickly.

What immediately caught my attention was that this is not your typical makeup wipe. Natracare is a woman-founded and led company with a reputation for developing products that are better for both people and the planet. The company’s makeup remover wipes are biodegradable, compostable, and made from 100% organic cotton cloth or 100% chlorine-free paper.

As someone who has always felt a little guilty every time I reach for makeup remover, knowing there are more environmentally friendly options honestly makes a huge difference. Another thing I appreciate is that they are so kind. If you have sensitive skin, you know how difficult it can be to find products that remove makeup without irritating or drying your skin. These wipes use a gentle plant-based formula enriched with organic essential oils and are free of parabens and other preservatives that many people want to avoid. Especially since they can’t pronounce it (laughs).

I also love seeing brands respond to what consumers want. In fact, research shows that over 70% of Canadian beauty shoppers are willing to pay more for products that align with these values.

Are you thinking of stopping using makeup wipes? …Absolutely not. But I feel so much better knowing there are better options for the environment. If this post resonates with you… Natracare’s makeup remover wipes are definitely worth checking out.

You can find it online at Well.ca and at major retailers across Canada, including Loblaws and Walmart.
