When Kelly Ripa pointed out that comedy is one of the hardest jobs in the world, she asked Jones if he still gets nervous after all these years on stage.

“Of course. Anytime,” Jones admitted. “If you’re not nervous, you don’t want to go up. If you’re nervous, it means you care. It means you care about what you bring to the audience.”

She explained that stand-up requires complete concentration in the moment, and pre-show nerves become part of the process.

“When you’re doing comedy, you have to be present,” she said. “You have to forget everything else going on and just go out and perform.”

Kelly confessed that it made her feel good to hear that Jones was still catching butterflies because Jones always seems incredibly confident and self-assured. Jones quickly laughed off the compliment, joking that it was funny that anyone would describe her that way.

The conversation then turned to Jones’ hilarious new reality series. roast my rentalAt , we help vacation rental owners address the issues that keep guests coming back.

Jones said nearly all of them have experienced immediate regret after checking into a rental when they smell a strange odor or discover questionable conditions.

“A lot of these owners don’t realize it,” she explained. “They’re nose-blind, they’re color-blind. They’re just used to it.”

Her job is to deliver some tough love and remind the owners that paying guests are not family, but customers who expect a clean and comfortable place to stay.

According to Jones, many hosts focus only on positive feedback and ignore honest guest reviews that mention unpleasant odors, dirty mattresses, and other obvious issues.

“They’ll say, ‘We’ve had more good reviews than bad,'” she joked. “And I thought, ‘There’s carpet in the bathroom!’

One of her favorite questions to ask owners is whether they would actually let their own family stay there. Their answers often say it all.

Jones also shared some of the funniest discoveries he encountered while filming. Among them were rental properties with personal family photos on display, and homes where owners had left clothes hanging in closets and only shoes.

Kelly and Mark couldn’t stop laughing when Jones joked that the show was more than just entertainment, it was effectively a public service announcement for travelers.
