Jodie Turner-Smith recently opened up about her plans for daughter Juno’s sixth birthday party, revealing that the celebration was not only memorable but elaborate in every way.
“There was a big party involved,” she laughed. “She wanted a K-Pop Demon Hunters themed party and of course we did!”
The actress admitted that the process was a bit stressful, but ultimately accepted the challenge. After contacting a party planner and receiving a quote that compared it to “private school tuition,” Turner-Smith decided to take matters into her own hands.
“I thought, ‘You know what? I could be a party planner,'” she joked. Drawing on her experience planning events in college, she planned every detail herself. “As a Virgo, I’ve been studying children’s parties for years. I took note of what worked and what didn’t, so I knew exactly who to call.”
result? She proudly described the party as “amazing.”
One of the biggest hurdles was bringing my daughter’s favorite fictional K-pop group to life. Juno specifically requested performers inspired by Saja Boyz and Huntricks, but finding suitable entertainment proved difficult. Fortunately, Turner-Smith enlisted the help of friends and eventually found a group of talented University of Southern California students who could not only perform but also sing in front of guests.
“They were incredible,” she said. “The kids had a great time.”
Most importantly, the birthday girl loved every moment of it and made all the planning and stress completely worth it.
