But as the number of viewers grew, so did the criticism, and the latest episode sparked a lot of discussion online.

After discussing the fallout from Casa Amor, some viewers felt the host was being too understanding towards KC following KC’s decision to pursue Tierra instead of rekindling his relationship with Anya. There was a huge backlash on social media, with some questioning why she didn’t defend Anya’s point of view more forcefully during the conversation.

Several fans also expressed disappointment with the overall discussion, saying they expected more nuance surrounding the emotional dynamics between the islanders. Others defended the organizers, pointing out that the fast-paced aftershow doesn’t necessarily cover every angle of a complex situation.

As the conversation continued online, Teffi addressed the criticism directly, reminding viewers that she and Ciara contribute their opinions and topics of discussion, but do not control editing, production decisions or voting results. She acknowledged that no matter what perspective you offer, you will inevitably be criticized from many directions.

“One week they say it’s too biased, and the next week they say it’s not biased enough,” she explains, adding that it’s impossible to please all viewers while keeping the conversation balanced and interesting.

Ciara also spoke online, explaining that each episode is filmed over several hours before being heavily edited, meaning that many conversations will not be aired. She disputed suggestions that she lacked empathy, noting that her experience navigating reality TV has given her a first-hand understanding of many of the topics being discussed.

The episode also featured an emotional conversation between Bryce and Trinity about their interracial relationship, with Ciara sharing that Trinity’s vulnerability resonated deeply with her. She reflected that dating cross-culturally can sometimes make Black women question whether they are truly seen, valued, and valued in their relationships, adding an important layer to the discussion.
