As for flavor combinations, there are a few things that come back repeatedly when you bake things in the kitchen. Any kind of fruit, including tons of lemon like this cake recipe, cardamom, more than anything, chocolate orange has my heart. Perhaps my nostalgia for this flavour combination comes from the foil-wrapped chocolate orange my parents used to take home from the store as a special treat, but I always reach for the chocolate and orange ones. Sorry, ZendayaI’m with Tom now!
This marble chocolate orange loafcake may be just one of my new favorite ways to make this combination come true. Not only is this recipe vegan, but the ingredient list is incredibly short. You probably have everything you need to make this on hand. And while it looks impressive, it is very easy to make. So if you’re looking for weekend baking recipes, this is calling your name.
Ingredients for this chocolate orange loafcake
orange. Here we use both one orange peel and juice, making this pancake even more fragrant and delicious.
Granule sugar. Scrub the orange peel on the sugar to give it a more flavor.
olive oil. Use something good. It adds the extra depth and flavor I like here.
Dairy-free milk. I used almond milk, but whatever you work!
All purpose flour. Basic baking staples.
Cocoa powder. For half of the batters, add cocoa powder for its chocolatey taste.
baking powder. This Cake Rising Agent.
salt. Without IMO, baked goods would not be complete.
vanilla. It’s generously on the batter, making it special, but completely optional.
Chocolate chopped. For the ganache above, dark chocolate adds extra richness.

How to Prepare This Marble Chocolate Orange Bread
This cake comes together like any other recipe. However, it must be swirled together in bread except that two different batters need to be prepared. To make things easier, here are some things to keep in mind:
- Preheat the oven and arrange the breads and ready.
- First prepare the wet ingredients in both bowls. Next, when all the other preparations are ready, add flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa powder to each bowl for the chocolate batter, ensuring that both batters are ready at the same time. Prepare one batter and sit down, then make the other batter easier.
- Prepare the ganache while the cake is cold. I like to make my ganache just a little thicker after mixing it, so I can sit it and just get ready to go.

How to store leftovers from this cake recipe
If you’ve made this cake in advance, you can leave the ganache until ready to avoid chocolate mess. It is also a fun presentation where you pour ganache in front of the guests. If you do this, wrap the pancakes and place them in an airtight container until you are ready to top the chocolate.
To store leftovers, store them in an airtight container on the countertop. This cake will be at its best on that day and the next day, but if it is airtight, it will last for another day.

1/4 cup olive oil
-
Selected 1/2 cup milk
-
150g of wheat flour
-
1 1/2 TSP Baking Powder
-
1/4 tsp salt
-
1/2 tsp vanilla
For chocolate cake batters:
-
1/2 cup milk
-
1/4 cup olive oil
-
1/2 cup sugar
-
1/4 cup cocoa powder
-
120g of flour
-
1 cup of baking powder
-
1/4 salt
- Pinch of espresso powder (optional)
For ganache:
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/3 cup Chop dark chocolate
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and arrange the bread with parchment.
- Prepare the cake dough. First, for an orange cake batter, add granulated sugar and orange peel and rub the zest onto the sugar to give it a flavour. Then add the orange juice, olive oil and milk and whisk until smooth. To the chocolate cake dough, add milk, olive oil and sugar to the second bowl and whisk until smooth. Next, add the dried ingredients to each bowl and whisk until smooth.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, add both batter scoops to the loaf tray with alternating spots until the batter is exhausted. Using a knife or long toothpick, mix together by swirling the batter slightly slowly. Place the bread in a middle rack oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, then check the done with the toothpick for 40 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool in a pan for 10 minutes, then finish the cooling in a rack.
- Prepare the ganache. Add milk and microwave to a safe bowl in the microwave for 30 seconds. Add the chocolate and stir until smooth. If you want thicker consistency, add chocolate.
- Serve with ganache on top of the cooled cake.
