Alfredo Sauce – A Beautiful Mess

Homemade Alfredo Sauce is one of the easiest pasta sauces to make from scratch. Made with just five simple ingredients, this recipe is simple and one of the more homemade things than from the jar. Plus, it’s easy! With only five basic ingredients, anyone can succeed with this recipe.

I usually serve Alfredo sauce over fettchin noodles, but my favorite pasta is also great. I also love this recipe as a pizza sauce!

Alfredo Sauce – A Beautiful Mess

material

  • butter – Unsalted butter.
  • Heavy cream
  • Garlic – Fresh chopped garlic.
  • Italian seasonings – Buy it in the store or make it yourself.
  • Parmesan cheese – Grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Salt and black pepper – Taste.

Some people like to thicken the sauce with cornstarch, but sometimes add 1-2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt to this recipe. But it’s not necessary, it’s just an option.

Melt the butter in a pan and lightly saute the garlic in the butter for 1-2 minutes.

Next, stir in heavy whipped cream and Italian seasonings. Whisk, everything warms up and combines well. Simmer over medium heat.

Next, stir in the Parmesan cheese. Continue stirring until the cheese has melted and the mixture is a sauce. Taste and season with salt and pepper to your liking.

Storage and reheating tips

This sauce is perfect for making and serving immediately. If you have any leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge. To reheat, add a cream or milk splash to the leftovers and heat it over low heat in sstovetop.

Easy and delicious Alfredo sauce recipe

Instructions

  • Next, stir in the Parmesan cheese. Continue stirring until the cheese has melted and the mixture is a sauce.

  • Taste and season with salt and pepper to your liking.

Note

If you notice small lumps in the sauce, the cheese may not be completely melted or you may need to stir it further. Try whipping the sauce to remove the final lump.

In this recipe, you will make approximately 1 cup of sauce. This would be good for two servings of pasta, but you can easily toss a sip or two of this amount of pasta. It depends on how cocky you like your Fettchin Alfredo.
