
“I don’t like wearing an apron,” says the vegetarian chef, recipe developer, and author Shrishti Jainism. “I wear oversized T-shirts because I don’t mind getting them dirty.” She’s been a chef all her life, but took up baking as a hobby during the pandemic. It quickly evolved into a new career chapter. Recently, Shrishti hosted a pastry pop-up in Brooklyn where she created and designed pavlovas for 100 people. unique cake. Here, she shares her shoes and the most-worn skirt in her wardrobe…

“I’m a big shredder. I left the house at noon yesterday and didn’t get back until almost midnight. I went to the gym and the library, then had hotpot with friends, then went bowling. So I need a spacious bag. “I’m a writer and a chef, but I also work in technology. My office is in SoHo. At least once a day, I stop people as I walk by and say, ‘I really like your bag,’ or ‘Where did you get that coat?'” Even if it’s a vintage piece that I can’t trace, I find inspiration in combining my pieces in new ways. ”

“I love tailoring. I’m 5’1, so I started by hemming the pants. Then I tried making further tweaks, like incorporating the straps of my ribbed tank top for a better fit. Small adjustments don’t cost much, but they make a big difference.”

“I recently turned 30 so I’m trying to take better care of my clothes. I definitely learned the hard way that certain sweaters can’t go in the dryer. lint removal tool and fabric shaver. I’m very excited. ”

“I ‘borrowed’ this shirt from a friend. I wear it to work, to sleep, and everything in between. T-shirts are the things I steal the most from people I love, because I want them to be as well-worn as possible. That’s the best way! I used to raid my dad’s closet all the time, and now when I get home he leaves me a bunch of old T-shirts. There’s nothing better than that.”
