U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), who lost the Republican primary earlier this year, confronted a Fox News digital reporter, filmed him, and demanded that he respond to claims that he liked “gay porn.”
The confrontation began when reporter Nicholas Barathy questioned Massey about statements made by Cynthia West, a former staffer who claimed to be the congressman’s ex-girlfriend.
Referring to West’s claims, Barathy asked, “Is what she says about you true?”
Instead of answering, Massey asked Balashi, “Who are you with?”
“Fox Digital,” Barathy replied.
“That’s all a lie,” Massey said.
Barathy then asked if West’s claims that Massey had an affair with Boebert, who is divorced, were true.
After Massey denied the allegations, Barathy asked, “Why do you think she would say that? Was it because of the primary? Before the primary? What do you think the motive was?”
“When did you all become tabloids?” Massey shot back. “Seriously, dude.”
The lawmaker then took out his cell phone and began recording himself asking Barathy questions. the hill.

“Congressman, I’m not…I just wanted to give you an opportunity to express your position, that’s all,” Barathy responded.
“I’m giving you a chance on my side,” Massey sneered.
“I’m not going to get into that,” Barathy said as he walked away, appearing to try to defuse the situation.
“Are you a real news organization?” Massey asked. “No, come back. All you can say is you don’t like it and you don’t visit those websites.”
“Of course I don’t like it,” Barathy replied. “But thank you.”
“Well, really?” Massey replied. “That’s not what I heard.”
“Thank you for your time,” Mr. Barathy said. “I was just giving you a chance to respond.”
“So you’re at Fox? Is that a real news organization?” Massey said as he followed Barathy down the street. “Is that what you do for a living?”
Barathy then hurried away, saying something that cannot be heard on the video.

I had asked him about the ex-girlfriend’s allegations on the record and given him the opportunity to respond. I deny the allegations he made up about me,” Barathy wrote in X.
Barathy also questioned Boebert earlier this month about allegations of extramarital affairs.
“Fuck you, first of all!” Boebert replied. “If you’re going to bring me into this, this sexist stuff is out of control. So here’s the clickbait you were looking for. I don’t want to talk about someone’s exes and the crazy shit they do.”
