Pedro Pascal made us swoon and mesmerize with his sweltering hotness in his latest article photoshoot. fantastic man Magazine (needs some time to bask in its glory and just sit back and take in all the beauty).
The Last of Us star told how he was able to perform at Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show. Short version: persistence, selfies, and a little confusion.
“I wanted to participate in any way I could, literally on a volunteer basis, such as offering coffee when needed, so I conveyed that feeling through the people I work with,” Pascal said. “In terms of celebration and synchronized expression, there is no one better than Benito at the moment. Not only am I obsessed with his music, it inspires me.”
From the inbox to the end zone
Relief efforts did not materialize immediately. Pascal has just finished work on director Tony Gilroy’s upcoming project ‘Behemoth’ and has decided to continue with more… memorable endeavors.
“I was complaining that I wasn’t getting answers, and I sent someone an email with a selfie with my tongue sticking out. I was like, ‘This is really me.’ Within 25 minutes, they called me back and said, ‘We want you to come to the show.'”
The last-minute “yes” came with minimal instructions. Please wear beige. Get ready.
Pascal soon found himself forced from the stands into a backstage lineup that resembled a pop culture roll call. “We were watching the game in the stands and someone pulled me out of my seat and took me backstage, and Cardi B was there, and Young Miko and Karol G and Jessica Alba were there,” he recalled. “They did a wardrobe check and said to me, ‘OK, the vibe is that you’re dancing.’
“I started noticing it right before the game started. As I was being marched onto the field, I thought, ‘It’s a Casita. I’m so stupid. Oh my god, I’m going to ride a Casita.’ I think that’s why I looked like a deer in the headlights.”
Fame, afterlife
Pascal’s rise did not follow the typical overnight story. He got his big break playing Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones in his late 30s, and says that timing shaped the way he handles attention now.
“I think there are two ways to look at this,” said Pascal, who turned 51 on April 2. “The universal feeling of impostor syndrome can be experienced by anyone when someone is unkind to them, especially when getting what they want is somehow unpleasant,” he said.
He added that age also brought perspective.

“And the softer side of it is that I feel like I’m getting older and there’s some stupid stuff too, but it’s like, ‘What’s a 50-year-old guy doing dancing in La Casita?’ – I’m very grateful that it was a fully developed character before experiencing any major exposure. It’s already baked when you take it out of the oven. I was 38 years old when I got the role of Oberyn Martell. [in ‘Game of Thrones’]”
A combination of self-awareness and humor has become part of his public appeal, with him essentially revealing himself, whether he’s leading a top-notch drama or appearing in a halftime spectacle.
The mustache remains…for now.
Of course, no interview with Pascal would be complete without mentioning his beard.

“I never had the courage to grow a beard before, because I felt that my beard was very weak. Even now, I cannot grow a proper beard,” he said. “I got help with my beard for the role of Oberyn Martell. Then ‘Narcos’ came along and I felt like a mustache was perfect for this era.”
He has kept it handy, at least in part for aesthetic reasons.
“So right now I’m holding on a little bit to the vanity of having my very weak, patchy beard give my face some definition. But if the role calls for it, that can all go away.”
But for now, the mustache and willingness to send bold follow-up emails remain.
