The official directive provided more specificity to the new directive.
“The self-identifying qualification window for voluntary separation will be extended until July 7, 2025 for the spare Component Services members,” the directive states.
Previously self-identified service members due to voluntary separation undergo immediate processing for discharge.
Heggs also had no doubts about the speed and seriousness of the administration’s determination to ban transgender warriors from the US military.
