Happy Pride Month!
Feeling like you don’t have much to celebrate? Perhaps this opinion piece by Kelly Robinson, president of the Human Rights Campaign, might encourage you.
“This Pride Month, as we celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary, the LGBTQ+ community and its allies are showing up loud and proud as we take back our country and its freedoms.”. WWe proudly say: Pride is Patriotism,” Robinson wrote.
“The Pride Flag is right next to the Stars and Stripes. LGBTQ+ people have always been part of this country’s history, and we are definitely part of its future. Our belief in a country where everyone can live their truest lives, without exception, has always pushed this country toward becoming a better home for everyone.”
