total eclipse of the heart Singer Bonnie Tyler is in a coma after undergoing emergency intestinal surgery.
The 74-year-old was scheduled to perform in more than 20 shows this year, but is currently in an induced coma to aid her recovery.
Tyler’s manager, Matt Davis, said: entertainment weekly May 7: “Bonnie has been placed in a coma by doctors to aid her recovery.
“We know everyone wishes her well and asks for privacy during this difficult time. We will issue a further statement when possible.”
No additional information is being released at this time.
She was scheduled to perform at SummerLUST Music Festival in Malta on May 22nd and at Wiesmoor in Germany on May 30th.
The singer’s representative previously announced that he had undergone a successful emergency intestinal surgery in Portugal and was recovering.
“It is with great sadness that we announce that Bonnie has been admitted to a hospital in her home in Faro, Portugal for emergency intestinal surgery. The surgery was a success and she is now recovering.”
