at the end of ewing immortal saw, The god of thunder met his fate and died as a sacrifice to strengthen the spell by his brother Loki. But the story continued mortal sawwhen a new hero rises on the streets of New York City, one with no powers, only a determination to right wrongs with a hammer. Desiring a normal life but forced into the fray, Sigurd Jarsson finds himself haunted by threats from Thor’s past, including the ferocious Donald Blake (aka The Serpent) and Mr. Hyde. “Issue #800 wraps up the long-running plotlines that have plagued Thor since before his death, but it also sets Sigurd Jarsson on a journey through the mythical world to Asgard, a place where Thor has never been needed more than now,” Ewing explains. “Sigurd still lacks the power to surpass his own courage, wits, and willpower. Will a mortal be able to rise to the test of the gods, save the ten worlds, and bring the God of Thunder back to those who need him? We couldn’t ask for a better artist than Pascal Ferry to tell this story. We hope you enjoy the ride we have planned for you. #800 is just the beginning!”
