Jay-Z returns to Philadelphia’s Roots Picnic stage, bringing not only his catalog but a whole new style.

The rapper and mogul has debuted a full Afro, which is a notable departure from the rock style he has worn for years. According to reports, the lawyer Leticia Rabelo It took four days and four films to thoroughly research Jay-Z’s filming locations in advance of his new look. The fresh afro attracted as much attention as the performance itself.

Style-wise, Jay-Z kept his look sharp and understated in an all-black Fear of God ensemble styled by longtime collaborator June Ambrose. Comprised of an oversized utility jacket and coordinating pieces, the look was effortlessly cool against the stage’s electric lights, proving Jay-Z was moving with purpose throughout the festival.

The hairstyle and fit together sent the internet into a frenzy, with fans and fashion observers alike taking notice of the rapper’s new-age aesthetic.
