Vancouver’s Taleeb Noormohamed named Parliamentary Secretary to Canadian Heritage Minister

Vancouver-Granville Liberal MP Tlaib Noormohamed has been appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Honourable Pascal Saintonge, Minister of Canadian Heritage, effective Friday, September 23, 2023.

Tlaib Noormohamed has deep roots in Vancouver and a proven track record of community service.

Noor Mohammed founded a mentorship program for at-risk youth. Covenant House Vancouver He serves on the hospital’s board of directors and on the board of Lions Gate Hospital.

In recognition of his volunteer work and work on community development, he received the Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award in 2007 and the Queen Elizabeth II 60th Anniversary Medal in 2013.

Tlaib holds a BA in International Education Policy from Harvard University, a Bachelor of Arts in International Education from Princeton University, and completed her doctoral studies at Oxford University as a Commonwealth Scholar.
