How about playing?
peak team This is a 1-5 player co-op game where you work together as a ranger to check out wildlife and complete missions. The game begins with the play phase, where supply cards are drawn and distributed to the players on the left and right. This means you get to choose your teammate’s card, and you can’t choose your own. In the second phase, you use these supply cards to move around the map in different types of movement to reach the locations indicated on the mission cards. However, you will also need to earn new missions and collect animal tokens to use special bonuses.

The boards represent hikes through different types of terrain, and specific supply cards are required to traverse different types of paths. This may include using snowshoes, climbing with climbing picks, hiking in boots, paddling rivers with oars, or even using a car. Each is represented by a unique path type. Use your cards to move through as many spots of the path type as you see, or to record the animal by being where it is. When you record an animal, you take the animal token and place it on the ranger mat to use its ability, but at the end of the game you place it on the board.
Players have support tokens that they cannot use themselves, but other players can use to reach their destination and then flip their support tokens. Once a player uses a token, they can reactivate it and use it again if needed. Stopping at locations with other rangers allows you to share cards, which can help one or both get where you want to go. You can also check the radio for more missions by going to the Ranger Station and distribute up to one mission to each teammate.

There is a gradually decreasing list of missions. There are a lot at the beginning of the game, but they become less and less as the game progresses. You can play as many cards as you like during a round without gaining cards until the next round. However, you must have fewer than four missions completed at the end of the round to advance. Then move the remaining cards to the next round and continue playing. If four or more cards remain at the end of the round, all players lose the game.
The game requires 6 rounds and the game is won when there are no more missions on the game board and ranger mat, all animals are recorded, and no animals are left stranded on the map.

verdict
peak team It was a really big surprise. Think not only about how good the game is, but also about how difficult it is. You really rely on your teammates to give you good cards and let you use support tokens. This is not one of those games that you can run solo. Additionally, missions are given without dialogue and are under the discretion of others. But what these elements add to the game is a unique cooperative style that finds magic in both barely skating and having to trust others to win.
The board is set up mechanically so that you can use different paths to do what you want to do. However, proper planning is required. If you get stuck and can’t make any moves, your only hope will be other players’ valuable support tokens. There are four cards available throughout each round, so you need to make the most of them.

In reality, missions need to be distributed quickly so that players don’t wind up with more missions than they could have gotten with the same amount of cards. Efficient movement and card usage are important. This game definitely requires teamwork.
But like many cooperative games, you have to survive. This means you have to move the mission from the edge of the board to someone’s ranger mat. All animal tokens must also be removed from the board and placed on the right side of the board. After that, you have to complete the mission while gaining more in such a way that someone goes to the ranger station to deal out cards. and Everyone uses their movement cards wisely. Phew!
Additionally, you rely on other players to make choices that will give you the cards you need, while at the same time forcing other players on your side to make choices as well. There is a lot of leaning and trusting in others.

I like it very much peak team It combines a fun hiking and adventure theme with a cooperative plan to get everyone to the right place using different cards that can only travel specific paths. Again, this game is harder than you think. The rules are very simple and easy to understand, but completing all these missions is the difficult part. You should know that the later in the game you have fewer cards to worry about, but if you do it right, you’ll have the cards you need in your Ranger mat. teeth I’m worried. This means that the game begins with the problem of peeling a mission card off the side of a board and completing a mission that someone has assigned to you.
If you’re looking for a unique twist on cooperative gaming, enjoy hiking and the great outdoors, or just want to try a new kind of challenge, check it out. peak team From Matagot Games.
