The new album was produced and recorded by Will Yip. “While we were making this record, our lives and our world changed a lot, and somehow all of that drew us even deeper into the band and into our friendship,” guitarist Tom May said in a press release. “After 20 years, this is what felt most connected to what we’re doing. I’ve always heard ‘bigger kids, bigger problems,’ and while that’s true, there are also bigger answers and deeper meanings.” There is a kind of hard-won hope that can only be found on the other side of real change. With all the uncertainty in life and the world, it’s easy to quickly veer toward cynicism. It’s easy to say it’s all crap. With everything we’ve seen so far, we wanted to lean into it all and tackle it head on. ”
