The long-awaited battle royale mode of “Battlefield 6” RedSec is officially here season 1However, its debut was not so smooth. But the biggest surprise of the update has to be the RedSec Gauntlet. This is essentially an EA marriage attempt. battlefield 6Familiar squad warfare with RedSec’s survival-driven approach. According to the creatorBattlefield RedSec Gauntlet is an “all-new, brutal Knockout-style elimination mode” where eight squads battle their way through four randomized objectives to earn points, outscore other teams, and vie for one of the top spots. On paper, this sounds promising (and fun) enough, but it can be confusing when you first start. So to help you get started, here’s a quick rundown of what Battlefield RedSec Gauntlet is and how to play it.

Battlefield RedSec Gauntlet Mode Explained

Battlefield 6’s new RedSec Gauntlet mode is designed for 32 players in eight squads of four. All matches last four rounds at Fort Lyndon RedSec battle royale Each mission takes place in a different region of the battlefield. Combat zones change based on the number of squads remaining, with “the first mission having the largest combat zone and the last mission having the smallest.” On top of that, each round has new objectives, and your squad can earn points by killing, reviving, or completing missions.

To up the ante even more, all points are doubled in the last minute of each round, forcing teams to fight to the last minute. The bottom two teams are eliminated at the end of each round until there are only two teams left. What’s more, the RedSec Gauntlet also allows you to bring your own loadouts, including weapons, training paths, gadgets, and more, as well as carrying over your Battlefield 6 multiplayer classes. If you’ve played standard multiplayer before, your existing loadouts will also be automatically imported into RedSec Gauntlet.

All Mission Types in Battlefield RedSsec Gauntlet

Each “round” of the RedSec Gauntlet introduces a new mission type with its own objectives and scoring system. The mode features eight missions across multiple combat zones, and “it is extremely rare for the exact same Gauntlet mission sequence to occur in consecutive matches.” Both kills and resurrections earn you one point, and a successful resurrection also takes a point from the opposing team.

On the other hand, some mission types, such as Heist, are only available during certain rounds. That being said, here are the eight tasks you will face in RedSec Gauntlet. That being said, here are all eight missions for Battlefield RedSec Gauntlet.

circuit

Circuit can be thought of as an enhanced version of Domination. In Circuit, multiple consoles are scattered across the map and your goal is to capture as many as possible. Every 20 seconds, your squad earns a point for each console under its control. Early rounds could include more than 30 consoles, but the final round narrows that number down to just a few.

contract

Things get tense in Contracts, where every removal, every resurrection, and every squad wipe counts. You’ll earn 1 point for a kill, 1 point for a resurrection, and a whopping 15 points for wiping out your entire team. If a team is wiped out, it is removed from the gauntlet and the round ends when a certain number of teams are eliminated or the timer runs out.

deadlock

Deadlock is similar to King of the Hill, but with rotating zones and Battlefield’s signature scale. The mission is to hold the zone, and you earn points for defending the zone for 3 seconds, regardless of how many teammates are in the zone. The map layout changes as the match progresses, with early rounds featuring multiple rotation zones. However, eventually everything narrows down to one concentrated hotspot.

decryption

Decryption is a strategic, high-stakes mode that rewards patience. The goal is fairly simple. Teams must secure their beacon device and hold it for 50 seconds to “calibrate” 10 points. Each player can carry one beacon device, but carrying a beacon broadcasts your position for everyone to see, and sprinting will break your calibration.

extraction

Extraction introduces a (sort of) “grab and go” aspect to the RedSec Gauntlet. In this mission, you will need to find data drives and bring them to drone extraction points scattered across the map. Each successful extraction earns 3 points, and each player can carry up to 10 drives at a time. However, since drones are only active for short periods of time, the timing of deliveries must be coordinated.

robbery

Available exclusively as the final mission, Heist is the ultimate battle of the RedSec Gauntlet, a highly competitive interpretation of Capture the Flag. In place of the flag, the remaining two teams compete to take incidents from other bases while defending their own base. Each capture is worth 10 points, and dropped cases can be recovered or reset after 1 minute.

Vendetta

In Vendetta, the first player to get a kill is designated as a high-value target for the team. The goal from that point on is to keep the HVT alive while tracking the enemy. HVT receives 1 point for every 5 seconds it is alive. However, it is always visible to all players on the map.

debris

Wreckage is a clever twist on Rush-style gameplay, with bombs spawning around the map and your team collecting them and placing them on M-COM stations. Planting and detonating an M-COM will give you 10 points, and defusing enemy explosives will give you 5 points. This may sound very simple, but the catch here is that the bomb carrier is visible to all players, and if time runs out before you can plant the bomb, the bomb carrier will explode.

How does reassignment work in Battlefield RedSec Gauntlet?

Reassignment is one of the most interesting features of Battlefield RedSec Gauntlet, giving you and your squad another chance to stay in the fight. RedSec Gauntlet’s reassignment system is very simple. If you perform well in a battle but are defeated due to several members escaping, you may be assigned to another active squad instead of being returned to the lobby.

The idea is to have all squads fully fielded and keep matches competitive while rewarding skilled players who lose teammates during missions. At the end of each round (except for the final mission), all squads, including eliminated squads, are considered for open slots. If there is space on the surviving team, or multiple squads have partial rosters, reallocation will occur to “ensure the correct number of squads are assigned for the next mission.” However, the four members of the full squad who move on to the next mission will remain the same.
