The hugely popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory has already been spun off into two successful shows. “Young Sheldon” and its spin-off “George and Mandy’s First Marriage.” In the latest companion piece to the series, Kevin Sussman recreates the Big Bang character Stuart, the down-on-his-luck comic book store owner. Stuart somehow breaks a device created by Sheldon and Leonard, the geniuses from the original show. Stuart, his girlfriend Denise (Lauren Lapkus), and two friends are transported to another world and must try to restore reality. The title says failure, but we’ll see about that later. Chuck Lorre, the mastermind behind all the Big Bang Shows, said: people “I just wanted to do something that was challenging for me,” such as action and special effects, he said, adding, “I think it’s going to be respected or criticized.” This new spinoff appears to have landed in a different world, moving the series from middling CBS to the more adventurous HBO Max.
