Westman Atelier launched the Powder Cheek Duo in two different formats ($75 each). I picked up two Baby Bowk Powder Blush Duo and two Baby Bowk Powder Blush + Engraving duo. I also scattered Powder II brush $85) Try it.
I love the unique powder formula. It has an interesting almost creamy powder texture with a very blurry matte finish. It makes the skin look very blurry. I was a huge fan of her tone Cream blushing baby cheeks And there was great hope for these powder versions. I really love the formula, but I don’t like all the colors, but I think that’s what I would expect because there are a variety of variations and undertones.
All colors are matte.
I’m wearing her for the skinton reference Important Skin Foundation Stick With Shade VI, which I still really love. I also wear Shade V in winter and shade VII in the very tanned summer months.
Here are sample examples, and these are applied with heavy hands.
Here’s a sample next to the blush of a cream with the same name:
Lips + cheeks are visible in each duo stacked on the face:
Baby Bowk Powder Blush Duo Cocket/Mimi
Lip suede Lacquer + Squeaky clean liquid lip balm Honey
This duo pulls very brightly on my skin. If I were 1/2 shades, I don’t think this would show up in my skin tone.
______
Baby Coke + Face Lace Carved Powder Duo Petals/Biscuits
Lip suede Petals + Squeaky clean liquid lip balm With petals
This is the only duo I really didn’t like. The colour is very dark and when set it looks muddy on your skin. The cool undertones on the biscuits are not flattering on my skin with a grey colour and are difficult to blend for any reason.
______
Baby Coke + Face Lace Carved Powder Duo Tulle/Truffles
Forget the no-lawless filler gloss Velvet Daisy
I think this is my favorite!
______
Baby Bowk Powder Blush Duo Suede/Sable
Lip suede pique + Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balm Biscuit (Cancelled)
Another cheek duo pulling dark, but it has a warm undertone so it works with light hands for me.
I jumped at it Powder II brush And don’t think it’s worth splurge. I’ve tried a few of her brushes and I think they’re beautifully made, but they’re so much too expensive and I don’t think I’m a fan of design/density. Due to the pigments and texture of the powder duo, I prefer something a little more fluffy Rephr Brush 04 and Brush 05 (Both can be postponed more) or Hakuhodo J110 (Spread).
Overall, I’m really pleased with the quality, formula and packaging. The colours aren’t all for me, but I have found a couple that I really love. The wear time is really good and there is minimal fading by the late afternoon. If you want a little glow/depth, prepare to add highlighters on top as these are very matte.
You can find the duo now Nordstrom, Sephora, Westman Atelier And all the other Westman Atelier retailers.
