The first sale of 2025 took place from April 24th to May 4th. In 2024, the sale appeared from June 7th to 10th, and from April 26th to May 5th, 2024. The winter version was run from November 28th to December 6th. In 2022. I saw it in April 2022, June 2022, October 2022, November 2022, and December 2022 (ends on December 7th).

When is Macy’s friends and family sale date?
Unlike Black Friday, Macy’s friends and family’s sales dates are not carved on stones, so you cannot mark your calendar a year ago. What we can do is look back over the past few years and provide a guide to how you can always know, so that you don’t miss out on the sale dates of Macy’s Friends & Family, as you can zero out when the next Macy’s Friends & Family Sale will be.
In 2025, Macy’s Friends & Family Spring Sale took place from April 24th to May 4th. In 2024, Macy’s Friends & Family Sale appeared in early summer (June 7th to 10th) and spring (April 26th to May 5th). In 2023, autumn sales took place from November 28th to December 6th, October 23rd to 31st, and from 2023. Summer friends and family sales took place from June 6th to 13th, 2023. The recent spring Macy’s Friends & Family Sale took place from April 24th to 30th, 2023. 31. The 2022 Summer Macy’s Friends & Family Sale was held from June 7th to 13th. Before that, the spring Macy’s Friends & Family Sale took place late April until May 1, 2022. Macy’s friends and family sales dates are not specifically cast, but tend to follow a rather clear pattern. Before last year, there were two sales days for Macy’s friends and family. One is in spring/early summer and the other is before Christmas. However, the date for the 2021 Macy’s Friends & Family Sale included additional sales in late October (and just after Cyber Monday). The point is, it’s beneficial to see this sale pop up when you’re least expecting it!

The periods vary, just as Macy’s friends and family sell differently. Usually lasts about a week, Macy’s friends and family have seen as many as 11 people for six days.

But that’s different. In the past, Macy’s has discounted an extra 15% on several categories such as beauty, but we’ve seen swimming, jewelry, bedding and servewear marked down by 50%. So the savings are real.
- It’s the whole store: If you need a kitchen, toys for kids, a new mattress for the bedroom, a new vacuum cleaner, a wedding gift, or an appliance for gourmet cooking, you’ll find that all categories in the store will be marked down during Macy’s Friends & Family Sale events.
- Shop for multiple days: Other Macy sales events also offer strong discounts, but you’ll have less time to spend. Sometimes it’s only one day. Macy’s Friends & Family Sale will last at least a week.
- Discounts you won’t see during other sales: Markdown is available during Macy’s Friends & Family Sale Designer items Something you won’t see at other Macy sales events. While shopping for sale for Macy’s friends and family, I’ve seen discounts from Fitbit, Lacoste, Tommy Hilfiger, Coach, Ugg, Michael Kors and more.

Bonus purchase: This is an example of a bonus purchase we’ve seen in the past. With purchases over $25, they gave you the opportunity to buy a boys chain bracelet worth $175 for $24.99. Obviously this changes, but usually at least one item is significantly reduced by purchasing a minimum of another item.
How to know when Macy’s friends and family will be on sale
A sale as good as a sale from Macy’s friends and family is not what you want to hear from your friends – after the fact. There was a long period where April was circled in the calendar and it felt pretty safe for Macy’s friends and family to land somewhere. But Macy’s has been rocking things lately.
