You’ve probably seen the TikTok videos about Coachella food. Most of them emphasize how expensive the meals are. And we can definitely agree that snacks cost a lot of money. But as an attendee of both RevolveFest (a hotspot where food is free and influencers and celebrities gather) and the main festival, I defend the fact that there is some pretty good food, albeit with inflated prices.
This California-based music festival offers cocktails (featuring brands like Aperol and Absolut vodka), desserts like ice cream and Italian ice, pizza, sushi, burgers, barbecue, sandwiches, ramen, hot dogs, poke, tacos, and just about anything you can imagine, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Vendors range from historic Los Angeles-based restaurants such as Irv’s Burgers and Sweet Fins to nationally renowned restaurants such as Dave’s Hot Chicken.
If you plan on watching the performance from the comfort of your own couch, you can also get your hands on some festive food at home. Keep scrolling to see what my friends and I ate this Coachella season and how you can recreate the recipe at home using just a few ingredients.
el pollo loco chicken tenders
The fast food chain recently tested chicken tenders flavored with Mexican spices, and we loved the flavor. Create those versions yourself Tyson’s All Natural Crispy Chicken Strips (if you want to avoid creating one from scratch), chili powderyour favorite mayonnaise-based sauce.
Kogi BBQ Tacos

We stopped by this taco truck founded by Korean-American celebrity chef Roy Choi for spicy pork tacos. Recreate this mouth-watering meal by preparing pork, tortillas, shredded lettuce, and Korean barbecue sauce. Or you can make it completely homemade with this delicious recipe.
How Ya Dawn Pizza

Revolve’s festival featured gourmet pizza from How Ya Dough’n, and Coachella Field featured East Coast favorites like Prince St. Pizza. No matter how you sliced it, pepperoni pizza was on the menu. Buy pizza dough, marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni on the way home and recreate this meal.
Irv’s Burgers Cheeseburger

A cheeseburger and fries may not be revolutionary, but it sure makes for a mouth-watering meal (especially if you don’t eat much and spend all day in the hot sun watching your favorite artist!). Recreate this American tradition by stocking your fridge with ground beef, sliced American cheese, and hamburger buns.
