Attention Dr. Seuss fans! You’ll love this keepsake idea!
First, give each child a copy of the hardcover book “Oh the Places You’ll Go.” Now on sale:
At the end of each grade, ask your teacher to write a short note or reflection about your child on the inside cover of a popular children’s book. Oh, the Places You’ll Go by Dr. Seuss. This will start to look like a yearbook over the years, except it will all come from teachers, coaches, educators, or school personnel who have had a positive impact.

I started this idea for my kindergarten kids who love Dr. Seuss, and it’s so cute to see how excited the kids are to read what their teacher writes each year. We’ve moved around a bit, but I’ll never forget it because it’s fun to see teachers from different schools included. To be honest, this book is now a very special keepsake.
Even during the coronavirus pandemic, I recorded several emails from teachers who were unable to sign at the end of the year. ❤️

Oh, and Places You’ll Go makes a great graduation gift for all ages.
Has anyone graduated from kindergarten to high school or even college this year? Including an “Oh the Places You’ll Go” book with an encouraging message is a thoughtful gift idea.
Dr. Seuss’ stories themselves are inspiring messages that inspire confidence, anticipate life’s adversities, and overcome obstacles. If it’s not already in your library, I highly recommend it.
Here’s what this special Dr. Seuss book means to our team members…
“My uncle gave me a copy when I graduated from high school. He wrote me a lovely letter with puns that only my uncle and I could understand. It was also the last book my grandmother read to me in the hospital before she passed away. She spoke little English and couldn’t read, but somehow she managed to do it perfectly. I’m thinking of having my book framed.” Crystal, your hip buddy
“My family gave me the book for my high school graduation, and it was a very thoughtful gift.I was getting ready to leave for college on my own, over 1,500 miles away, so I read it over and over again in the first few weeks, remembering her notes. I read it over and over again. It felt like encouragement from home. Since then, I’ve given it to them several times. My college-age kids are still kids, and I think it’s best to share that encouragement with them through “children’s books.” The “book” format helps bridge the gap between children and adults in a fun way. ” Liza, your hip buddy
