In 2025, I am changing the way I set my goals. Instead of setting annual goals, set monthly goals. Each month, we share a list of new goals for next month and an update on how we did our previous month’s goals.
I felt this approach could increase the flexibility of the unexpected unknowns that this year might come. We also set up a new start at the beginning of each month. And it allows me to adjust my goals until this month, allowing me to do what I might know that might already be held (i.e. , I know there is more time and space than other months).
To categorize my goals, I use five areas of prioritization and intentionality, such as my time and energy.
My update for January
If you follow along My personal email newsletter or On Instagramyou know that January was rough and full of lots of unexpected things (I feel that’s the case for a lot of people!).
So I didn’t make the progress I would have hoped for in many of the many goals in January, but I did:
- There is approximately 60 hours of unexplored time.
- Complete six books (find out posts about what you read alongside reviews later this month!).
- I spend nearly 20 hours outside.
- Complete 11 training sessions.
- 10:30 I’ll be sleeping by 17 nights.
- Much more organize over 500 items (There was a small flood problem in our storage room, so many forced tidying happened!)
- Walk for 7k+step 18 days.
- make Homemade granola bar Homemade crackers.
- Have a triple date with Jesse (we went to this fun dinner and magic show in downtown Nashville to celebrate our 22nd anniversary!)
- Have three home dates with Jesse.
- We finish the season of the show we’re watching together and start the next season.
- Joint date with Jesse and three older children for Kathryn’s birthday.
- Please read more than 100 pages Small house on the prairie To Kierstyn, David, and Micah.
- Read 25 prayers from How wonderful is our GodTo Kierstyn, David, and Micah.
- We have made a lot of progress in organizing our walk-in closets.
- I’ll revamp the entire overview of the next book and try again (and make great progress in the intro).
- Launch a brand new product: An hour budget.
- We will launch two new budget prizes.
- We are working on the following products on budgeting for teens:
- 10% of our income.
- Close your new rental home and save 10% towards your next rental investment goal.
What! So, my goals were almost completely done, but by setting goals in the first place, it served as a kind of focus to keep me moving forward with the track. In our lives – especially when Kathryn was very sick!

Things to read in February
(I doubt I’ll get through all of these books, but my goal is to complete at least six books. But I always have to be prepared if I have more reading time than I expected. And they always aim high!)
- The dangers of the sea-My mother gave me this and highly recommended it!
- Higher Call– One of you said I had to read this book.
- Break the pattern that breaks you– You can interview the author of this immediately!
- Household habits– Many people say this book is a must-read.
- Joint intelligence-This was a gift from Megan Hyatt Miller, who led my mastermind.
- Here is the dragon– I love Melanie Shankle and look forward to this!
- Raise your eyes: Daily invitations to see Christ in motherhood – I love Whitney and I love this prayer! We’re doing podcast episodes together right away!
- Absurd hospitality – This book was highly recommended by my mastermind!
- Correction – I can get you to have Ian Cron the Podcast right away and this book has been amazing so far!
- It’s completely known – I love sacred rest and I’m very excited to read this as I recommend it frequently.
- From my heart -I read this once, watched the film and found out there was a trilogy, so I reread it before reading the other two in the series!
For those who ask when I read: I always have several books at once and read a few pages of chapters in Christian Inspiration Book + Business Books. Then my goal is to read at least 30 pages of more enjoyable reading in the evening before bed. Memoirs, fiction, etc. It’s fun to read on weekends!
Have you set your goals for 2025? If so, how will they go for you! What are your goals for February? Please let me know in the comments.
