Actor, producer and proud Texan Gren Powell is best known for lighting up the screen with hit songs Top Gun: Maverick, Anyone other than youand Twister. But now he’s up the center stage in an entirely new arena: your kitchen. Powell brings star power to the sauce game with the launch of his brand new sauce and seasoning, Smash Kitchen. It seems they do it with purpose, personality and a wealth of flavors.
Smash Kitchen is more than just a celebrity vanity brand. It was a deep personal project for Powell, inspired by his love for backyard barbecues, quality time with family, and a lifelong obsession with all the threading sauces in front of him. According to Powell, who grew up condimenting homemade seasonings as a child, the idea for a smash kitchen began when he couldn’t find a healthier version of the healthy sauce that tasted like the classics he grew up in.
“I made my own hot honey ketchup when I was seven,” Powell said. He told the Hollywood Reporter. “It was always something in our family to finish the meal and say, ‘It was a smash.’ It’s where the name comes from, with good food, good atmosphere and good memories. ”
Smash Kitchen is available in eight essentials: Classic Ketchup, Hot honey ketchupYellow mustard, Dijon mustard, American BBQ sauce, Hot honey BBQ sauce, Classic mayonnaise, Spicy mayonnaise. But this isn’t your typical lineup. All bottles are made with organic, non-GMO ingredients, with no artificial preservatives, high fructose corn syrup, and anything that cannot be pronounced.
Is it even more impressive? All products cost between $1.97 and $4.97 and come with clean label seasonings that are accessible to almost everyone. Currently available at Walmart Stores and Walmart.com nationwide, Smash Kitchen is positioned as a pantry staple.

Powell didn’t just slap his name on the label. According to a Hollywood reporter, he co-founded the brand with entrepreneurs Sean Kane and Samia Mehta, investing his money and taking part in countless family taste test sessions to get the taste right. The actor was deeply involved in every step, from tuning recipes to branding, and presented the line with a cheeky launch party in Hollywood Hills.
Ketchup and BBQ sauce have already achieved fan favorite status. Food and wine written The Hot Honey BBQ Sauce in Smash Kitchen reminds me of McDonald’s tangy BBQ sauce (meaning “the best of tribute”), while the magazine features a spicy Mayo with Hermann rich, silky texture with an added kick. Featuring puree’s organic jalapeno, hot honey ketchup hits the perfect balance of heat and sweetness without overwhelming your taste.
Smash Kitchen may start with seasonings, but it appears that Powell and his team are dreaming even bigger. By the end of the year he shared with a Hollywood reporter, plans are already in motion to expand to a full line of pantry staples better than you. From sauces to seasonings, the goal is to reinvent the everyday items that make up the backbone of American kitchens.
“Our long-term goal is to change all kitchen staples,” Powell said. “It starts with seasonings, but we are thinking about how we can rethink the pantry in a cleaner, tasty and more affordable way.
While many stars lend their names to cookware and fashion collections, Powell’s approach to smashing the kitchen stands out. It is deeply rooted in his personal life, shaped by memories of home cooking in Texas, driving the belief that food should bring people together and nourishing them in the process.
