What is CLEAR+?
CLEAR+ is a paid airport membership that allows you to get through security faster at participating airports nationwide. Instead of standing in standard TSA lines, CLEAR+ members use dedicated CLEAR lanes and verify their identity using biometrics in a CLEAR pod. From there, you will go directly to baggage inspection, meaning less waiting time and a smoother airport experience.
hip tip: If you are bringing children, CLEAR is a great family benefit! Travelers 18 and older must have their own CLEAR+ membership, but children under 17 can join the CLEAR lane for free when traveling with a member.
Who can register?
CLEAR is available to U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents age 18 and older with a valid government-issued photo ID, and to citizens of some countries with a valid passport.
How to get a free or discounted CLEAR+ annual membership:
- American Express Cardholders: Members who enroll in CLEAR+ and pay using select Amex credit cards can receive up to $209 in statement credits per calendar year to cover some or all of their membership.
- Atmos Rewards Members – Sign up for CLEAR+ at a discounted rate of $199 per year and earn 1,500 miles the first time you sign up for CLEAR+ for a fee of $199 and 1,250 miles when you renew/restore your CLEAR+ account for a fee of $199.
- Delta SkyMiles Members – Diamond Medallion and Delta 360 members receive a complimentary annual membership. Platinum/Gold/Silver Medallion Members and eligible Delta SkyMiles American Express Cardmembers pay an annual membership fee of $169; SkyMiles Members pay an annual membership fee of $199.
- United MileagePlus members: United Global Services members get a free annual membership. Premier 1K members pay $129 for an annual membership. Premier Platinum/Gold/Silver members and United US Credit Card members pay an annual membership fee of $169, and MileagePlus members pay an annual membership fee of $199.
