This is definitely of largely The kids requested breakfast recipes! they love it. This Lazy Monkey Bread isn’t the healthiest recipe ever, so I save it for special occasions like birthdays, Christmas, and other holidays lol.
But that is So It’s delicious and easier than traditional monkey bread or cinnamon rolls made from scratch (and considering I always make this recipe on already busy days, that’s a big plus!).
You can make your own biscuit dough if you have the time, but canned biscuits make it quick and easy.
This recipe comes from my husband’s side of the family and I think he has been eating these Pull Apart rolls all his life. This is a pretty special recipe to me because I’m sure it will be a recipe my kids will make for their own kids someday.
I hope you enjoy this easy monkey bread as much as our family does.

lazy monkey bread ingredients
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 2 large cans of biscuits
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon

How to make easy monkey bread
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Heat butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup in a large saucepan, stirring until boiling.


2. Pour into a 9×13 pan and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
3. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.

4. Cut each biscuit in half. Dip each half in the cinnamon and sugar mixture. (Make sure both sides are coated) Place each biscuit cut side down in the pan.


5. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Immediately after removing from the oven, invert onto a cookie sheet or rectangular plate.
Makes a 9×13 loaf.
