1. App-centric experience While using technology is convenient, some may find their reliance on the Virgin Voyages app a bit overwhelming. From making restaurant reservations to checking your daily schedule, the app has become an essential part of the cruise experience.
Dining reservations fill up quickly, and the general policy is that you can’t make reservations at the same restaurant more than once. We traveled with a group of eight, so timing our reservations so we could dine together was more of an effort than on a regular voyage, which may be a drawback for some.
2. Price Virgin Voyages cruises tend to be more expensive than other mainstream cruise lines, and while all-inclusive meals and on-board activities add value, the upfront cost may be a deterrent for budget-conscious travelers.
