2025 I met Gala It will be held on Monday, May 5th. On October 9th, the Metropolitan Museum of Art announced the Costume Institute’s Spring Exhibition.Superfine: Black style tailoring. “Inspired by Monica L. Millers Slave to fashionthe exhibition explores black dandyism through 12 sections representing key style characteristics such as ownership, freedom, respect, and heritage.

It presents the work of artists such as Torkwase Dyson, Tyler Mitchell, and Tanda Francis, covering the evolution of black dandy fashion from the 18th century to today. Miller will guest curate with Andrew Bolton. Colman DomingoLewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and Anna Wintour will co-chair with LeBron James as honorary chair. The “fit for you” dress code reflects the focus of the exhibition, tailored to menswear and bold service statements from attendees.

Colman joined the Met Gala for the first time last year, sharing that “it’s been a long time.” He felt that he made a big impression on Anna Wintour and invited him to co-chair this year.
