Introducing “The Bride,” starring Maggie Gyllenhaal (Academy Award-nominated writer/director “The Lost Daughter”) and starring Academy Award-nominee Jesse Buckley and Academy Award-winner Christian Bale! A bold, iconoclastic interpretation of one of the world’s most fascinating stories. A lonely “Frank” (Bale) travels to 1930s Chicago to ask groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronius (five-time Oscar nominee Annette Bening) to make him a companion.

The two bring a murdered young woman back to life, and a bride (Buckley) is born. What happens next is a murder beyond their imagination! Possession! A radical cultural movement! And a wild and fiery romance between outlaw lovers! The film stars Buckley, Bale, and Peter Sarsgaard, and also stars Bening, Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal, and Oscar winner Penelope Cruz. Maggie Gyllenhaal will direct from her own script and produce alongside Oscar nominees Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Talia Kleinhendler, and Osnat Handelsman Kellen. Executive producers are Carla Lige, David Webb, and Courtney Kivowitz.
