Phaedra Parks is reflecting on one of the most explosive moments of The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 17, the holiday dinner that led longtime friends Porsha Williams and Shamir Morton to an emotional showdown.
Reflecting on the tense dinner, Phaedra admitted that the conversation escalated so quickly that it caught her completely off guard.

“I was shocked,” she said, joking that she was thankful Porsha “didn’t have Hennessy” on the table.
Phaedra said she had heard whispers of tension building behind the scenes, but she never expected the rumors and unresolved issues to become so public.

“There was something that seeped in,” she explained. “I kind of knew what was going on, but Shamir told Cynthia and me that night that she didn’t want a fight. She just wanted a peaceful night. We wanted peace…but honey, it turned into a war.”
Eva Marcille, who joined the conversation, said she still has hope that Porsha and Shamea will mend their longtime friendship.

“I don’t think real friendships should change just because you become a housewife,” Eva said. “We should celebrate each other through every chapter of life. True friends will be there for you through the good times and the bad times.”
Still, Eva acknowledged that all friendships face challenges, and hinted that fans will have a lot more to unpack once the reunion airs.

Phaedra also teased what’s to come at the RHOA season 17 reunion, revealing that there were standout fashion moments, plenty of heated exchanges, and one newcomer who made an especially strong first impression. While hiding her biggest surprise, she also promised that viewers won’t want to miss what’s to come.

On the aftershow, Phaedra revealed that her co-parenting with ex-husband Apollo Nida has been going well lately, and Eva weighed in on the possibility of Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker reconciling. Phaedra also revealed which housewife caused the most drama during the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls’ Trip in Atlanta.

The fun continued during Tug of Shade, with Phaedra predicting how long she thinks Porsha Williams and Sway will last as a couple and ranking the best Shade assassins on the RHOA cast. Eva also reflected on her time with Tyra Banks and shared her thoughts on the recently aired America’s Next Top Model documentary.
